Things I Noticed in the Inventory Screen.

Link to picture 1.) Weird Mesh Contact If you look closely, the barrel and body of the gun don't appear to connect fluidly; they're segmented. This agrees with Bungie's point during the GDC in which they stated that each weapon is created modularly. 2.) Weapon Stats The stats displayed below the weapon indicate: Accuracy, Stability, Handling, and Magazine Size. Personally, I think these stats, in conjunction with the odd-mesh contact, suggest a weapon crafting system similar to Blacklight: Retribution. Each part of the weapon has a direct impact on how the weapon performs. As for the weapon level, Bungie has stated numerous times that our players evolve as time goes on. It makes sense that as you use a weapon more and more, it becomes more and more powerful as it evolves with your character. 3.) Perks + Upgrades I've never seen skill-trees for weapons before, but it's an interesting concept that would reinforce my previous point of a weapon that evolves with it's user over time. It appears that in order to upgrade a weapon, the player must meet a requirement for Glimmer (most likely the in-game currency) and weapon kits. The perk description also indicates that it requires a talent point to be unlocked. To me, this suggests that the leveling system for both our character and our gear are integrated into each other. So that's just my two-cents on it. Feel free to share your own opinions below.

 • methinks trading guns will be quite interesting, as it's a bit like pokemon. things have different values depending on how much EV training you've given them. leveling your gun is ls similar to that. shit what if traded weapons leveled up faster. destiny is pretty much open world pokemon except the pokemon are replaced with guns.
