I don't know what the promote button does when you use it on a user. I presume it upgrades them to an admin, but can anybody tell me what rank it upgrades that user to in a group and what it allows the user to do (moderator work, ect.).
Thanks!

The promote button will upgrade a member to "admin" status. The admin can perform any function a group founder can perform, except for kicking out the founder. They can edit the group general settings, ban/kick members (and other admins) and even delete threads. Nobody can edit the individual privileges of a security role like the previous site did. You're either a Founder, Admin, Member or Follower. So be careful who you give "admin" status to.

I believe that may be able to kick members also. But maybe someone who is a founder of a group will be able to confirm or tell us more.
