Aiming down the sights?

According to this article from Gameinformer, we can actually look down our weapons' sights in Destiny. I'm glad, if this is true--even though I could have sworn I saw a classic aiming reticle in the ViDoc, a'la Halo. Do we think this was just a placeholder, or is Gameinformer misinformed? (Pun intended). I, for one, would welcome new ADS overlords. Even though I understood Halo's fiction about smart-linked weapons, and why that gave SPARTANs a reticle in their HUD, I've always felt that actually being able to aim down your weapon's sights in an FPS adds a layer of immersion that's otherwise unreachable. I really hope we CAN aim down sights in Destiny.

 • It's very probable that Destiny will have it. Personally, I don't really see a lot of use for it. It doesn't really immerse me that much, but it helps longer distance aim in some scenarios. However, if that mechanic comes to Destiny, I don't want to see it being handled like in most shooters where aiming down the sights slow you down. I don't want to see Destiny go down the way of all the other shooters that try to be too realistic. I want the movement mechanics to be more reminiscent of Halo than of the shooters that try to be more realistic because I enjoy the freedom of movement. The classic aiming reticule doesn't necessarily mean lack of ADS, the Crysis series has both. I'm fairly certain Destiny will have ADS. I'm ready to welcome that mechanic, but I still want to see the kind of freedom of movement we had in Halo. Not many shooters these days have movement mechanics that are actually fun.
