Humpday: NeoGAF

Bungie accepted a challenge from some Halo 2 fans over at the NeoGAF forums this week. Over the course of three very close games, both teams performed admirably but one came to rise above the other. Possibly as a result of chetz and sploitz.

 • Earlier today September 8, 2006 at 8:00 P.M., Bungie sent an e-mail, effectively shutting down a mod of very considerable value to the Halo fans and mod watchers around the world, Halogen. Halogen is a mod that combines Halo and the long standing Command & Conquer series to make Halo a RTS game. Bungie has pulled the plug on this mod because they thought it was 'infringing on the intellectual property of Bungie Studios'. Now all the things they made where made by themselves with using Halo as its base to go off of because they wanted a mod that was an RTS but used Halo instead. Now because Bungie "waited" for the mod to become a real threat to them, they sent them the e-mail 3 years, yes 3 YEARS after they started this mod with a huge amount of it done they stopped them, even though Bungie new that Halogen was a non profit fan based mod that would not harm them at all in sales. As i see it, Bungie had purposely taken 3 years of these men's lifes away from them along with whats left of what they had done for 3 years. Now I am a humble mod watcher, but seeing this kind of foul play made by a corporation of this size makes me take action for this wrong doing. All i am saying is one thing, BRING BACK HALOGEN!
