Bungie Weekly Update

No update per se, this week, since today is the Annual Bungie BBQ & Pentathlon. We'll be in an undisclosed location 'til 8pm. A few snippets for the hardcore, nonetheless, but nothing for the mainstream consumer, who demands more answers, dammit.

It seems like every week we have gotten a "no update" recently. We haven't gotten any real movie news since the Jackson announcement, and Neil Blomkamp has not been commented on... and it has been weeks since he was announced. As for Halo 3, my policy still stands: Not commenting on what is new (Example: story and locations) - understandable. Not commenting on what is going to be there from Halo 1 and 2 (Example: Grunts or Elites) - Wrong... in my eyes at least.[/quote] Posted by Frankie at 8/11/2006 4:41 PM PDT Thanks to a communications SNAFU, there will be no real weekly update this week. I had a beaut, all ready to go, but people, TOP people called it off at the last minute. The good news is that it is some fun stuff, the bad news is that it won't be all that surprising to anyone with internet access. Let's just say that sometimes PR and Hollywood are complicated. (End Quote) and all you do is Complain.......if this isnt Info on the movie, then I don't know what is? If you have Internet, which you obviously do, just look it up, I found it... then maybe you'll be here Thanking Frankie instead of Bashing Him. He told you to look it up Last Week and here you are a week later.. complaining of NO INFO.......... these last 2 updates were awesome, chuck full of Halo if you are reading them....... From this weeks update! And yet, it's been a very exciting week. I have been playing through Campaign mode purely for kicks. Exploring, in fact. There's lots of the feel of the original Halo, where you'll find yourself in a huge (dangerous) and intrinsically fascinating environment and just want to go tool around and check things out. At this stage in development, the encounters are very carefully placed. Sometimes that means you're in frantic firefights (on a significantly bigger scale than in Halo 2, although all I will confirm numerically is at least one more Grunt.) but there's also time for exploratory reflection and the, "Oooh, maybe I can climb up there and check that thing out," sort of play. (End Quote) sounds like good old fashioned Halo fun to me. [Edited on 8/19/2006]
