He understood yet he read the message again. The apartment sat still for a moment, not a breath. He questioned the silence and the room echoed his thoughts. A bare apartment, a simple bed, plain drawer and desk, with one RS R.T. (Relay Terminal), on top of it. He stared blankly at the monitor, still prompting. An un-easy feeling began to slowly wash over him. The situation did not feel, the way it should. This wasn’t your average curfew evasion or gate breach. This was possible I.D Fraud. Something Suhn personally had little experience in. It was a myth as far as he was concerned. A myth he would soon come to know as fact. He keyed in and scanned his right wrist. "Scan Clear. Request: To Proceed. Pick up in 4 minutes." said the RS R.T. in a very calculated manner. Preparation was needed, but he had to act fast. It had been 12 minutes, precisely since the Subject was last scanned. Something or someone should of picked him up between now and then. It would nearly be impossible not to be scanned within that time period. This played on Suhn’s mind as he loaded his 4-10-(T) Assault Shotgun, chrome trim with a feather weight trigger. Being the only Enforcer in the Sector Suhn knew that things would have to be done neatly. Sector 9-nine was his and his alone, at this moment. A dark crumbling slum left to rot by the corporations that once dominated the Sectors skyline. A true hole, where almost any type of degenerate lowlife could find a space, just small enough to crawl into and disappear. Suhn felt the isolation, the thought was dismissed as quickly as it arose. They would be watching though, he knew that, so in a way he wasn‘t alone, and never would be, because they would always be watching. Them, being Feather Dust. Under the governments wing and always protected. One of the countries largest corporations. Involved mainly in weapon development. Somehow they got involved with the directors board for national security and safety and the project known as Public control was born, it implemented by Feather Dust in 2197. Total shutdown of all sectors due to escalating civilian related “unruliness“. It was needed they told us. Every man, women and child was marked with an SC Chip or as its more commonly known, a klink. A series of check-points were placed dividing the city into certain areas of role, rank and of course, importance. One could only go where one was aloud. A deafening blow to the social aspect in the closing years of the 22nd century. He placed the 4-10 inside his Talis. Standard Enforcer overcoat, just weighing under 50lbs. The Talis, lined with a Kevlar based alloy could withstand a round from a 4-10 at point blanc, and the 4-10 itself could punch through about 8inch steel. The 4-10 sat snugly in the rear of the Talis. Hidden among its furls. No would know it was there until that one moment that would be different to all, a moment of revelation. a shock factor to any situation. He checked his side arm quickly, the PT-9 also known as the Elite 9’s, was an automatic hand cannon, holding 16 rounds per clip and also capable of unloading a clip in under four seconds. A sight to be seen, but not wished upon. He stowed it in his shoulder holster. The RS R.T. let out a small chirp, as a mono-toned voice spoke up, "2 minutes to pick up" [Edited on 9/18/2005]
