Flood Relief

Hurricane Katrina has decimated New Orleans and surrounding towns along the Gulf coast. If you've taken a break from playing Halo 2 and watched the news lately then you've no doubt seen the horrible aftermath of this devastating storm. It's not often that we stray from topics related to Halo but in this case we felt the need to rally the members of the Bungie Underground Army to lend a hand to help those who have suffered through this disaster. What can you do to help? The American Red Cross is on the front lines providing shelter, food and recovery assistance to the thousands of people impacted by Katrina. You can help out by volunteering your time or making a monetary donation to support their efforts. More information can be found at the Red Cross website or you can donate over the phone by calling 1-800-HELP-NOW.

 • So ive been reading this board off and on and deciding wether to post this or not. Its hard for me to grip with the fact of this story but I figure if I post it maybe it will help me. Over the summer one of my best friends moved to Biloxi. When I first found out where he was going to live and I heard about Biloxi I was excited for him. As he moved away he was going to live on base at Fort Keesler since his farther was an anestegeologist for the army. I heard from him periodically over the summer and checked in on how he was doing and so forth. As I heard of Katrini I hoped that it would weaken and not come close to Biloxi. When I heard it hit New Orleans I heard that Biloxi got the "bad side" of the storm. I was worried to death. I watched the news all week until I heard any news from Biloxi. Thats when I saw it on CNN. They were reporting from Fort Keesler and they were saying the base was totally destroyed. I have not heard anything from him at all since the hurricane hit. I ahvve checked all sorts of web sites that have listed refugies. All i can hope for is the best. Im almost sure he got out since the military would of probably evacuated the base and if not my friend his mom and hos three brothers/sisters would of probably left, or atleast I hope so.His dad is probably some where along the coast helping out as a doctor. All I can hope for is the best for everyone. God Bless All
