[/quote] I know that, what I said was regarding the idea or concept of monarchy. Call me strange if you want, but I do not want to be considered a 'subject' of the 'rightful monarch elected by god' or any of that -blam!-. I am a free person, and just because I was born in England does not give that dried up old skank known as the Queen the right to consider me and my family her 'subjects'. I have had many an argument with pro-monarchists in my time, and every single one of them has given across the opinion that members of the monarchy are better than the 'common people', and that it is completely fair for them to get all the benefits and respect they get, just because they descend from someone who ruled the country 500 years ago. The idea of a class or a caste system disgusts me- we are all equal, and have equal rights, and that includes no preferential treatment for a certain family.
