Anyone else find the Halo 4 campaign boring?

Every mission was very anti-climactic if you know what I mean. They were pretty boring too, and very short (finished it in 4 hours, about the same time as Halo: ODST). The story line was decent, but it was just too messy. The multiplayer aspect of the guy is pretty decent I guess and I hear they're adding a ranking system soon, so should be good.

 •
Posted by: ninjakenzen ^I'll tell ya why it's meh. Everything felt forced. You get Chief talking, which is a nice change IMO. But his dialogue is crap. There's no badass quotes just self-pity. 'She said that to me once' The whole, I can't do this without you shiz. He's become too clingy to Cortana. It just feels off. Cortana became so much more cringe. Granted this could be done to add to the whole 'I'm rampant' story, The whole don't make a promise line was used in previous Halo's, it's overused and contrived in H4, we get more of the same just more boring. She only malfunctions when you need her to do something but generally she's fine throughout. Except the beginning and end. Because it was just shoved in that way. I was more WTF with Didacts appearance, that they revealed a forerunner. Than, OMG this guy is bad and we got to save the galaxy peoples! It took me away from the immersion and was like "Really? this is what 343i made them do, Vampire alien. LOL" He throws the cheif away on numourous occasions when he has him in control. NO SUSPENSE. Huurrr duurrr. Yeah I know cheif ain't gonna die but the majority of people are just gonna overlook the classic villain throws away golden moment scene. Typical of terrible stories. At least in Batman they gave a reason when Bain did it. To make him suffer. But the Chief, it was like, 'thank you...come again' just no reason. I'mma just force choke you till the canon white blood cells attack me. And lol with the forced Lasky scenes. I loved how they put him in the game and had that dynamic with the series. But it was executed so poorly in the game. It was like i've turned into a character with a story halo fans know, to a shoved in 'I'm IMPORTANT kissass becuz you know me.' And del rio. It would have been a lot more interesting in the start if Del Rio was actually a character with conviction. BUT NO they make him a weasel that everybody hates just to hate. This is what you call a filler character and adds nothing except unnecessary drama. Unless you actually have a good story to tell. WHICH for Halo 4 I think not. The only thing interesting about Halo 4's story is the terminals and even that's quite funny. It turned into something worth speculating about to something typical of Sci-Fi. Halo had its own Universe, obviously borrowed and created with other-sci fi's in mind. But now it's clearly a fan-fiction for those writers who watched too much StarGate and played too much Mass Fffect. I crack up, whenever I read people thinking that this is such a deep universe now. It's only 'deep' due to one person and that's Greg Bear. The rest is a PoS.
Thanks, this is exactly what I was thinking as well but couldn't put it in my owns words lol
