Congratulations Recon!
By: Recon Number 54 Alive and married. Been dodging hurricanes for 3 weeks now. Dodging and hunkering down during. Thanks for noticing. Frances went thru, and just as we got power back, we headed up to the Tennessee/North Carolina area (ahead of Ivan) to get married and honeymoon. Ivan flooded that whole area and caused death and destruction. We then had to cut the trip short to get back to the house in order to prepare for Jeanne. Just got the power back last night (thank god for laptops and generators).
Congatualtions! You certainly got off to an interesting start. Sorry about the honeymoon getting cut short. Oh yeah, and sorry about those hurricane things too :-) Good luck!

 •
Posted by: un gato Hey mods, would this be in the wrong forum? Because as I see it, The Septagon is the Bungie community forum, and the Bungie community is made up of it's fans and forum goers. So what's the official word?
Perhaps I was being a little paranoid in "declaring" that this was the wrong Forum. After watching mods lock nearly a dozen Halo 2 threads in The Underground, I got worried. After all, even though I (and the kind people offering their well wishes) are part of the fan community, I felt a bit self-conscious about the thread not being about the community as a whole. That's me, a wet blanket and parade rainer no matter how cheerful I try to be! But now that the question's asked, I can gladly wait on a ruling from the line judges. And since I'm now making a post about Septagon issues, I can also include some additions.
Posted by: Halo53 Congrats to you, recon. And I have Halo for the mac and saw your wife's name, but I haven't played it online in months because the mac version sucks. So she doesn't have to worry about a player named Halo53 in pink armor getting killed repeatedly.
Thanks 53! She's usually online every afternoon carnaging off her stress. She loves the Shoot-it servers and playing team slayer. I'll tell her to keep an eye open, but on those gametypes, you won't be erhhhmmm, light-red.
Posted by: Lt Devon Kudos to Recon on getting married! One question, how does your wife feel about being married to the 10th Mjolnir cyborg?
Thank you very much LT. The sad fact is that I can be replaying any of the Marathon series while she is online playing Halo. Other than a sideways glance when she is done and a "*hmph* what is that you're playing?" I cannot seem to get her interested in pre-Halo games, or get her to be intrigued by all of the mysteries and joys of being a fan of Bungie, not just a fan of their games. So if I mention the Security Officer, she thinks that I am talking about work. It happens to be the title for one of the hats that I have to wear at my job. Even with the hi-rez texture packs and a screaming PC, Marathon doesn't draw her in. I guess for her it's all about first impressions. Which makes me wonder why she married me! If it weren't for the generosity of women.... our species would have died out long ago.
