Posted by: PsychoElite i saw that dodge ball movie today
That's kinda evidenced by your current signature. [rant]I don't dig the typical RPG gameplay in Morrowind. The storyline's probably really neat, but I'm not gonna hack at mindless enemies to watch a little exp. counter go up or blatantly go through people's belongings to find items in wierd places to see it. I find learning to get past entrenched forces with serious AI using a character or team that I'm in total control of in a unique way much more satisfying, which is why I dig Halo. Being able to find your tactics, choose from several ways to do something, and not depend on powerups and health kits really makes me feel in control. The only way it could be better is if you get to play with cool Bond-style gadgets or customize the functionality of your character as the game progresses by making choices like in Jedi Academy or maybe even buying equipment. Customization helps make you feel more in control and immersed, like in Deus Ex or the MechWarrior series. There's nothing wrong with RPG games, but I prefer ones that put the player in control as they're more immersive for me.[/rant] Edit: fixed link typo [Edited on 6/24/2004 1:17:01 AM]
