The difference between a civilian and a solider is one signed up to die.
There is no good argument for the people who committed this monstosity. However, to sentence them to death is showing the same lack of respect for life that they are showing now. I understand that Texas believes that it is its God given right to give the death penalty, and even Canada has a law for it (we only give it for war crimes i.e. medical testing on prisoners, genocide, etc.), but it is wrong.
We cannot, in good conscience, deem the death of another person to right the wrong of the first. You enter an endless ladder of stupidity if you head in that direction.
