why name it the 7th column?

how come bungie decided to name their club thing after something Winston Churchill made up to scare us Brits ? the history of it is a bit like this... to muster support and general 'togetherness' in britain during the second world war churchil made sum propaganda... he told us that the 7th column was a secret -blam!- spy organization operating in britain. I personally dont mind, but apparently for the older folk its a bit of a dark subject to talk of the 7th column. anyway, wot do u think? were bungie concious of this? or does it just sound cool?

  • Hmm, also in a book by Orison Scott Card that I had to read for english class (oh joy). In it the royal palace was the septagon, and there were a few more parellels/strange coincidences that you could find between the 7C and the book. Also, was the 7C named for the Septagon, or the Septagon for the 7C? After all, 7 is Sept in uhh... some old language... latin? It's the whole Tri Quad Pent Hex Sept Oct and I don't know the rest.
