• I'm guessing you're talking about the animation rig models, the flat green and grey ones near the bottom of the list, this one in particular. I hate to disappoint, but... Does this look familiar? Those animation rig renders are from the animation files made for the Halo 2 E3 demo last year. Rather than import more models than necessary while animating, character animators often take a shortcut by using since outlines to act as props that aid in positioning for animation. What I believe you're looking at is the prop Nathan and John (and the other animators, I'm not sure how many of them are character animators) use to represent the SMG when creating animations for cinematics. Keep in mind, this doesn't prove or disprove the pistol's place in the game. It just means that we don't have any evidence to prove that it is, yet. =)
