Posted by: Stormx1213 RighteousTyrant, Just to make a point, I have been talking about this for some time. No where have I said that £10 is alot, the point Im trying to make is the point that Bungie could charge $1.50 and still make money on these maps... they dont have to start to rip the fans off. And no where have I attacked anyone, So you show your true self by attacking me. Every post I have made I have said pay for them or dont, that is upto you. Pay to play its called. And so many people have thanked Bungie for makeing maps... would you thank your Landlord or the companie that charge you for water or gas? It all makes me laugh.., Halo fan boys pay or not, it really is upto you, But I will bet next time bungie make new maps, the "accountants" (Yeah right) will ask for more...
Very well; I think I read your previous post wrong--sorry about the "attack". My beef is with the folks who believe that they're getting reamed because they're being forced to--wait, no they're not--because they're being given the option of paying $10 for the maps now or waiting a few months until they're free. I'm tired of the people who think that because they paid for their copy of Halo 3, that they're entitled to any additional Halo 3 related content that ever comes out of Bungie. I don't think you fall into either of those categories, so my apologies. However, now, in this post, you say that $10 (you actually said ten pounds...that's like fifteen or twenty dollars? I'm American, I'll speak in dollars) is not a lot, then you say Bungie is starting to rip the fans off. So, which is it? "Not a lot" or a "rip off"? Because I would think those two concepts are mutually exclusive. Could Bungie charge $1.50 and still profit? I'm an accounting student, but I don't have the slightest clue what kind of time and resources it takes Bungie to produce three Halo 3 maps. Nor do I have a guess as to how many Halo 3 players will purchase the new maps (remember that we can wait and they're free). Since you aren't posting in yellow text, I don't think you have much better info than I do, so your assertion that Bungie could profit from $1.50 maps is unsupported. Not necessarily wrong, just unsupported. [Edited on 12.05.2007 2:29 PM PST]
