I am fairly certain the cure didn't actually do anything and it was just the Flood retreating because humanity proved themselves worthy to uphold the Mantle by sacrificing a third of their population. [/quote] Well it wasn't really a cure or anything, the person being infected by the Flood still got infected and effectively died...but to my understanding the "cure" would be a sort of counter-infection on the Flood and would start killing or harming them in some way, which forced their retreat *shrug* That's more or less what I took it to be, the people infected by the Flood who had the "cure" still died, but their deaths introduced a counter-infection of sorts into the Flood that was harming [i]them[/i].[/quote] Yeah, unfortunately that option is not available anymore, because the flood adapted and came back immune to it, i think thats why they say there is no cure anymore, because it works only once.
