There is two components to the screen, the screen itself, and the touch sensor.
Which one did you get?
Neither? I haven't bought any replacement parts yet. If it's right under the screen, you think it could be the touch sensor? And that IS something that can be bought and replaced relatively easily?
Shouldn't be too hard, there is probably a guide for your phone.
The part your finger touches directly is the touch sensor, the part beneath it is the screen.
Usually the screen is just connected to a board with a ribbon cable or two, it's just a matter of unplugging them, removing the screen and plugging the new one in.
Of course, you'll void your warranty, so if you aren't sure, let a pro do it.
