How come flood wont be in halo 4 ?
I know that there is a new enemy but the war with flood is far from over and there are thousands of mysteries left.
Flood is a part of halo.
Their time to return to the galaxy hasn't come yet. Can't say though about the rest of the Reclaimer Trilogy.
iirc, all of the live specimens of the Flood are on the Halo installations. I haven't been keeping up with the Halo 4 media, but last I checked, Master Chief wasn't on one of the Halos this time.
The Flood is of extra-galactic origin. They came to the galaxy 110.000 years ago and fought Ancient Humanity, from which they were pushed back out of the galaxy, and later they returned against the Forerunners 100.000 years ago, from which both sides lost the war. The Flood essentially left the galaxy after the firing of the Halo array since there would be no biomass left to support them. Others were captured and put into study in the Halo Installations. Which is the Flood we all know and love.
The Primordial promised the Flood would return and test Humanity in the future, and that time has yet to come, as the only Flood outbreaks we have seen have been from the specimens on the Halo installations.
