Special Q&A Today!
For this week's update, Frankie and I are going to take questions from the field and answer them online in a psuedo real-time chat format using the Bungie.net forums. Things are bound to get a little hectic but we think it will be fun.
The first thing we need people to do is ask questions! You can do that in the news forum - easily accessible by clicking the "discuss this story" link at the bottom of this page.
Before you ask your questions, keep these points in mind:
1. NO QUESTIONS ABOUT CAMPAIGN or the STORY! (we won't even acknowledge these questions)
2. Don't spam and ruin this for everyone. We'll be banning people.
3. Questions about life inside Bungie, the final crunch, Alta's haircut, the Beta, etc.. are all fair game.
[b]At approx. 2:00 PM PDT Frankie and I will login to the New Mombasa forum and start answering questions that have been posted to this thread.[/b]
We'll hang out for an hour or so and have some fun. =)

U guys are awesome! Are we supposed to post questions now? You've said that if dormant gernades are near an exploding gernade, the current explosion will just get bigger? How big can we expect this explosion to be? Is there a point where it doesn't get bigger? Is it possible to "blow up" the entire level? Are you allowed to answer this? lol

Will there be the old version of the assault rifle in Halo 2? What degree would it take to get a job as animator at Bungie?

Multiple questions, please bear with me. Is the Shadow still in the game? Will there be a flamthrower? How exactly does the Gauss 'Hog work? It seems to me like it would be overpowered, at least in multiplayer. I've heard some places that the beam rifle can fire two shot before overheating, others four. Is it one of those numbers, or something else entirely? Is the Wraith's cockpit open like the Scorpion's, or closed like in Halo 1? Can the Banshee fire it's weapons while it's boosting? Sorry for having so many questions; thank you for your time.

Can u give me an idea of what the animation is for when u reload two weapons at once? example twin smg's whats the reload look like?

We've heard all about the battle riffle and how it's a more accurate assault riffle, the battle rifle might be better in everyway possible, but is the old school assault rifle in halo 2?

After having read all the previews of the halo 2 multi-player on all the gaming websites I noticed that no one discussed the removal of the health bar. In xbox magazine, one of the developers says that the old health bar was "silly" compared to the way it is now in halo 2. My question is, how exactly are you supposed to know how much health you have if you cant see it, and does your health recharged after a certain amount of time like your shield does? I heard that somewhere.

1) I know and understand (I think) the ranking system that Bungie is implementing, and I think its a good idea. However, will Halo2 still track indvidual stats, such as total kills/deaths, number of melee kills, or number of times I've been splattered under an enemy's 'Hog tires? Since Halo2 is using an 'experience point' kind of ranking system, tracking these kind of stats seperatly when playing with your buddies is possible, right? 2) This is one of my few (VERY few) serious concerns about changes to Halo2; will the Plasma weapons such as the Plasma rifle and pistol still have the 'freezing' effect that they had on your opponents in Halo? I really hope that they do, because that was what made them so damn cool (not to mention useful). Anyways, thanks for your time Sketch and Frankie, and tell the Bungie team to keep up the good work!

Looks like this is the place after all, OK. Will Zoe return to Bungie? Will she (Zoe) visit the Soffish chat? How long time do Frankie use on shaving his head/hair? Have "somebody" tried to open Ling Lings jar yet? Will Soffish be a usable custom emblem in Halo 2's multi player?
