• Well, I've already registered via Halo 3.com, but if I don't get an email in January, I'm going to just buy Crackdown. (I'd pay $60.00 for the Halo 3 Beta if it DIDN'T come with Crackdown.) The way I see it---I'm getting the demo for $60.00, and Crackdown comes with for free. :)

 • Have I ever said how every female I know that has ever seen Frankie swooned in lust until I took the picture away, when they then begged to be shown it again? *-blam!--faced smile* [Edited on 1/3/2007]

 • You know what Bungie, I have to hand it to you guys. This is really, really flipping cool. I just turned 30 and I've been gaming since the days of the 2600 and I can not recall any other game studio doing something like this. Granted, I know that technology has changed the playing field but again, I must admit and acknowledge the greatness of what you guys are attempting. Keep it up, Bungie. That's the motto.

 • 100% Lame. I'm not going to buy "Crackdown", it looks ridiculous. I don't even think I like Halo anymore, I've been playing Oblivion and GoW so much. 13,333 get to play? Lame. Sorry for ranting, but I suddenly don't feel excited about Halo 3 anymore. And it's definitely not "The most anticipated game of 2007". -Halodude4ever

 • Has anyone been notified yet? Why would it say registration complete yet I am not registered for the Beta? You mean to tell me that they are going to choose people from the signup on Halo3.com and I may or may not be chosen?????????? Wow, it just keeps getting better!!!!

 • What I want to know is if I got in on Halo3.com before it closed? I had to wait until the next day because there was so much traffic I couldn't get anything going on that site. And how exactly is it considered closed when I just went there and re-registered? The site is still up and running so how is is closed? This makes no sense. I love Halo but this is getting rediculous. BUNGIE... DO YOU HAVE A LIST OF EVERYONE WHO IS REGISTERED AND IF SO, WHERE IS IT? WHO'S NAMES ARE ON IT?

 •
Posted by: GitSome13 This is retarded...thanks a lot MSFT. I either have to spend 60 dollars on a game that I have no interest in (not happening) or I have to be a complete nut with no life and stay up until 3:01 in the morning and then be lightning fast on halo3.com. Someone said it earlier and I agree, the only people getting into this beta are: fanatics who are willing to spend 60 dollars on a BETA (wow...) or fanatics who have absolutely nothing better to do then play halo. I've read a couple of pages of posts and I can't believe how many I see that play 4+ hours every day (WTF!?! Get a job, get a life...how do you have that kind of time?).
I HAVE A JOB...I HAVE A LIFE...(wife) WE AGREE...WE WANT HALO 3....IF YOU AREN't A FANATiC...THEN BunGIE DOESNT WANT YOU ON THEIR BETA TEST!!!!...GET IT THROUGH YOUR THICK SKULL....IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE A FANATIC...LIKE THE REST OF US... SOOO BEEE ITTTTT.....BUT I AM STAYING UP ALLL NIGHT WITH MY WIFE PLAYING HALO 2.....AND IM GETTING INTO THAT BETa.....THEN IM GOING TO WORK,..TO SAVE UP FOR THE LEGENDARY VERSION OF HALO 3....SO GOTOHELL NOOB!!!!!!!!!! WE LIKE HALO...WE STAY UP ALL NIGHT FOR HALO!!!!! SUBMIT YOUR WILL TO BUNGIEEEee

 • I have a question, so is this beta test only for the winners and they will be able to play the game in spring or is there another 'public' verson where anyone can download the game.

 • UM.... are these actually the "Final" ways to get your hands on the beta? I just pay attention to detail and i was thinking that if you go out and "Buy" Crackdown, you then get to download the Halo 3 Beta from Xbox Live. Why would Bungie and or MS and or "Whoever" just make the Halo 3 Beta as a "Purchase" to download on Xbox Live? My other guess is that you will be able to "Purchase" the Beta seperately, but it will cost the same or maybe a little less than your average $60.00 game.IE: "Crackdown". So I'm thinking that everyone who thinks they need to buy crackdown to "Guarantee" your Beta......maybe you should hold off alittle on that Idea. Just some food for thought $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ sory, i did want to point out that the Publisher for "Crackdown" is Microsoft. I think it's just a way to promote the game and you will not have to buy the game to get the Beta. But this has not yet been revieled, only "Two new ways to get the Beta" have been revealed today. I could also be very very wrong. Halo CE: is the best game ever made...thanks Bungie for over 5 years of and absolute original experience everytime I play it... you guys rock! Happy New Year! The Halo3.com site said that europen gamers would soon be able to sign up like the north american ones could, and then now all of a sudden we get this sprung on us: buy crackdown if you want to play it. I mean wtf? Right so basically there is shameful bias towards people living in north america over everybody else on the planet? Im afraid im not happy about this one bungie, sorry.
Well does Cracktown come out in the UK? P.S. Last post of the night. Going to play GOW
it does dude, but why do I have to pay £50.00 when gamers from america get to sign on for free? The truth is "Crackdown" is going to be a complete flop, and so Microsoft is using its greatest asset, bungie, to flog a product that they know will otherwise not sell. Its sad, bungie dont actually need this -blam!-.
Well look on the bright side at least you are guaranteed a spot in the Beta where as those that sign up for free only get a chance.
I guess I'd never thought of it that way. Did you get a place to sign up? Good luck to you getting in by the way, It should be a bundle of laughs to all those that do, at least until the whole game comes out. Just bring it on I say, after all, I've enough work to do to keep me occupied until it does ship!

 •
Posted by: Novumber eel Far too true my friend, but as per usual, It's bungie who are our friend in this situation, I think there might be a slighly richer, slightly more forceful company behind these advancements...
I disagree, and see Microsoft as our friends in this scenario. Think about it. Bungie was considering limiting this to their "friends and family." Do you think you'd make that list? Personally, I don't want to take my chances. I'm much happier just dropping the $60 and resolving the issue toot sweet. Although, I am still a little cheesed that I'm not among Bungie's "friends and family." I don't know that for sure. But KP once told me that I was "not a Bungie, not a moderator, not a community elder" etc. Assuming there are enough community elders to fill up the "friends and family" then I'm out. Plus, I've never made any art or machinima or anything. Basically, I'm just a forum spammer. Which, as I've been told by Yoozel is not considered "contributing to the community." Anyway, like I said, being able to just buy Crackdown and be assured entry into the Halo 3 beta is a pretty good deal in my humble opinion.

 • I should think It will be at the very first time you put the Crackdown disc into your 360 my friend, as that is what triggers the automatic download of the beta version of Halo 3.

 • I was wondering if I could get an official answer fro you Frankie, or other Bungie employees. If someone who is about 16 purchases Crackdown and gets the beta, will they be able to play the beta? Or would you have to be 17 at the time of the beta? Any answers would be helpful and appreciated.
