All packet drop is bad. Think about if two people are talking over a telephone. How often do you not understand what they say and have to have them repeat it? Switch out the people for consoles, telephone for internet, and not hearing what they said for packet drop, and then make them talk in realtime about a game going on and keeping them in sync.
That should explain why packet drop is bad.
