I was looking through the thread for the best Nintendo Game, and saw that no one (sorry if i missed one) besides me posted any games from the original NES. Yes I know those games wery pretty easy and somwhat bland compared to todays times, and I admit, I somwhat jokingly replied with the original Super Mario Bros. But I would have though someone would have posted one of the classics like the Orignal Legend of Zelda. So to get to my point I am curious, how many people here grew up with the Orignal Nintendo, and when I mean grew up I mean you bought one new, from a store, not off ebay or from a video game resaler, this would have been purchased before the internet was even available to the world....now thats a thought

 • You can get an emulator for your pc and dl games, i dont know about making levels however. You can also get an emulator for your xbox, if you do that thing we arent supposed to talk about, to your xbox and you can put NES games on your xbox (or PS2 games, SNES games, etc, any system you can find an emulator for )
...how many people here grew up with the Original Nintendo, and when I mean grew up I mean you bought one new...
i bought one new, although not when it first came out. my mom always thought video games would "rot my brain" as i'm sure many others still do. point being, i had to wait until i saved up enough money to buy one on my own. same with all the other systems and games i've bought over the years. anyways, Metroid and the Legend of Zelda will always be among my top 5 all time greatest games.

 • Wait... you could do that? I had no idea. Of course last time I played it I was like... 4 or 5 but still. 10 years gone by and I never new. That and my brother always used to make me second player but unplug the controller so I wouldn't mess up. I always thought I was playing. Funny thing is I later did it to my sister with out knowing my brother had done it to me. Crazyness.

 •
Posted by: Halo53 Well I was doing best game for each Nintendo system. I should have said NES- Duck Hunter :D
Duck Hunt was a good one, it was always fun to use controller 2 to control the ducks, expecially when the person shooting didnt know you could do that

 • I did post a game from the original NES.
Posted by: Sardonic13 The original Legend of Zelda for NES.
I have never owned an NES myself, but my roommate has one which we connect through our projector (Mario on the wall!) and I have played the original Legend of Zelda with an emulator on my PC.
