Halo 3 Ad Airs Monday!

The image you'll find in here is taken from the CG in the brand new Halo 3 TV ad, airing on ESPN's Monday Night Football next week. Be sure to check it out and set up that Tivo. This is one you won't want to miss. Also, there is some football game playing that night. Apparently.

 • The purpose of the ad is to ease people into the Halo universe, while still giving the fans some new action of the Chief. All hail the Chief! The above information can be found in the weekly update.

 • R_ACE1, the advertisment wasn't ment to take much of action. It was made to hide something, or somethings. This is what we are trying to figure out. Thanks for stopping by!

 • Great! That was awsome KILLX_! You forgeot to put why the Chief says, "Not yet." And this is because they, probably Sgt. Johnson, though the Chief had been hit and killed. When another marine answers, "... I think we've lost him." This is when the Chief says, "Not yet," gets the Shield Bubble Device, and you know what happened next. I don't think I understoom the Starry Night Scene as well as you would want me to. Sorry about that. But overall, your essay was wonderful! You added so much information! Great work! Oh, and I played the video a few times and I heard something. Between all the chaos of voices there is a whisper. I believe its a girl's whisper. In second 28 of the video you can hear, "Tactial." Maybe I am wrong, or right, but I truely would value your research on this. View the video, and when you get to second 28, when the Master Chief had already put the helmet on and is begining to stand up, listen carefully. The wisper is heard just when the Chief lands his fist on the ground. but you have to listen carefully! Please, maybe this could be miscellaneous, but I just want to know that I'm not going crazy! [Edited on 12/9/2006]

 • From what I can tell, fully with all the information I've gathered, ah what the hell, just read the damn essay! Starry Night Scene: From what I can tell, this takes place after the SPARTAN II's were finished, but before the Covenant were known on Earth. This would have happened for a few reasons, the SPARTAN II's fight for Earth, so the Chief's helmet is probably there because he is visiting Earth. After all, who wouldn't want to see the planet their fighting for? Back then, the only threats were rebels and miscalculated slip space jumps. The kids are talking about how curious they are about other life; however this obviously blows up in their face, because the Covenant “cleansing” begins. I call this a cleansing, because the Covenant looks upon mankind as an infection that needs to be removed to please the gods. I quote from “Halo: The Fall of Reach,” at the first Covenant encounter: “Your destruction is the will of the Gods, and we are their instrument.” The transition shows just how much the world has changed. The transition goes into the shellshock scene. Shellshock Scene: The Chief is in shellshock, and from what I can gather, this was caused by a Wraith mortar hitting to the left of the warthog, the drivers side where the Chief was sitting. His assault rifle is ahead of him because it came loose from the weapon clamp (in all UNSC vehicles, normally between the seats, read “The Flood”). His helmet came off: 1) as an extra transition effect, 2) to paint the scene that the Chief truly isn’t invincible. He can die, but he’s always been shown as an invincible warrior. He is only alive out of luck; he has proven to be not the smartest, strongest, or fastest SPARTAN II, but the luckiest. You can tell he was in the warthog: 1) he is too close for it to be coincidence, same with his Assault Rifle, and 2) the wheel is still spinning, showing it has recently been flipped. And the charring means it must have been explosively flipped. Starry Night is not a flash back or a dream, neither happens in shellshock. In shellshock, someone could look around the battlefield for their blown off arm like it was an every day activity, and then proceed to walk toward enemy bunkers like their greeting old friends. Shellshock however, will sometimes knock someone out for a few seconds where their life may flash before their eyes. The effects of shellshock are only long term if it’s affected someone like the Veterans of the two world wars, where some feared there were Germans in their basements. Other wise there is no long term effects, and you could wake up feeling like crap, but normal. He then proceeds to put his helmet on, que Bubble Shield Scene. Hidden Audio in this scene, revealed by slowing down play back: 1. After he gropes at the air “Chief, are you there?” 2. Right before he puts his helmet on: “What do you mean there’s none left?” 3. Right after he puts his helmet on: “Their cant be none left!” (Two and three indicated there was supposed to be a whole battalion of humans, but their all dead.) Bubble Shield Scene: As the Chief gets up, he looks toward his assault rifle, then the clip changes to show him holding it. He proceeds to put it on his back, and for lack of a better suggestion, as someone else said; it is held on by an electro-magnet. Then is shows the characteristic blue spheres and trailing plasma of Wraith mortars in the sky, heading toward the Chief. Right after he says “Not yet” it shows him holding what looks like a grenade. If you pause it, you can see that it uses classic detonator cover, a hinged cover with a switch underneath it. He proceeds to press the switch, and jam it into the ground. Seconds later, a clear shield appears around him. The origin of this shield is unknown, but it is owned by ONI, meaning its either human invented and made, Dr. Halsey finished her mission to get forerunner technology to Earth in Ghost of Onyx and it being reproduced, or its Covenant technology that been thrown into production. The Chief assumes a ‘ready’ position commonly used in races, and prepares to sprint. The mortars strike the shield, which is either collapsed by: 1) damage tolerance being reached or exceeded, 2) a timer hitting zero, 3) the power cell running out of power, or 4) any combination of the above or even something unmentioned. After the shield fails, the Chief starts sprinting. He puts his sidearm pistol (I forget the model name) into a holster on his left leg, and pulls the Assault Rifle off his back. He then fires a short sustained bust ahead of him, approaches the ledge, and jumps into a horde of enemies. There are 6 Wraith mortar/artillery tanks, what looks like a Brute with a war hammer in the middle, probably the leader because of the characteristic flag carried by Brute war chiefs, and what appear to be more brutes. Some speculate that they are hybrid of the Brute and another creature cut from Halo and/or Halo 2. They are not heavily armoured Elites, because the Elites are at war with the Brutes, and some also say they may be Brute/Drone hybrids. Whatever they are, there are 13 of them plus the leader. Hidden Audio in this scene, revealed by slowing down play back: 1. “I’ve got my hands full!” -unknown marine- 2. “Is anybody out there?” -unknown marine- Just so I can reach 1000 words, here’s some random crap!
