Why didn't you make a poll instead. Now I have to reply. *sigh*
-
It didn't seem very appropriate.
-
Most of the time to provide details on why I chose a particular option.

About one in ten times.

I often vote, sometimes reply.
-
I vote when it is something I have an opinion of. I reply seldom, for most polls the vote should be your statement. Too many post because they have to unnecessarily make everyone aware of what they voted or try to sway other votes. [Edited on 01.05.2013 7:15 AM PST]
The reason there's usually more voters than repliers is most likely because of two factors: A) Lurkers B) People who were going to read the thread and not reply to the thread anyway. It's just a visible indicator of how many of these kinds of people there are for any given thread.

Depends on the poll options.
-
I only reply to a poll thread if I think it has real discussion value. If not then I'll just vote and move on.
-
I use the poll and then I might add an opinion, a why I choose that, or simply add to the discussion if one is going on already. But sometimes If I don't feel like I need to reply I don't. [Edited on 01.05.2013 8:07 AM PST]

Depends on the poll topic.
-
It depends on whether I fancy Poll Dancing.
-
Posted by: Primo84 It didn't seem very appropriate.
Really? I think it would have been too appropriate. I reply if the forum poll has some sort of discussion value IMO or if the poll answers are too vague. If not, I see no reason to reply.
-
I reply, but don't vote.
-
Posted by: catman6 I reply, but don't vote.
Your vote doesn't mattress anyway.

Usually only reply or post

-
I only reply if the poll answers can be expounded upon.
-
Posted by: ChaosZero59 I only reply if the poll answers can be expounded upon.
Hmm yes, I agree as well. Shallow AND pedantic.

You mean poles?

When I feel it's necessary.

Wait I cant mindlessly click one of a few limited options?? If I care about the topic, or have an opinion not expressible through the poll options, I reply.
