How does master chief wake up with new armor?
What is up with master cheif in halo 4? His armor looks allot different from Halo 2 and Halo 3.........
At least in halo 2 they showed Master Cheif getting new armor.
In halo 4 he wakes up in brand new armor?

Mk VII armor has nanotechnology, the Mk VI that the Chief wears does not have it, its never been mentioned and its a weak retcon if it is true. Besides why leave the giant chest scratch? Frankie dropped a single sentence in an interview that says nanotechnology did it. But there has been no follow up to that, noone else has elaborated on this nanotechnology and its not mentioned in the game or anything else. Artistic license is the reason. They changed his armor twice in Halo 4, Campaign and multiplayer, but its still artistic license.

That is what the Mark 6 armor looks like in this new engine.[/quote] ...no it isn't. You can unlock the classic Mk. VI for multiplayer. Multiplayer is canon.

It would be pointless to make an entirely new model just for a cutscene that's only a minute long. It's like in Halo 2, where instead of being a Halcyon-class cruiser like before, the Pillar of Autumn was a Marathon-class cruiser instead because Bungie didn't want to waste resources on something that would appear for only 2 seconds.

My theory for why so much is different is that Bungie's halo trilogy and 343i's trilogy take place in different universes. In Bungie's universe, the canon is such that the fight was finished and Chief was left drifting in space, forerunner planet or not. The Forerunners remain just as mysterious as they were in CE and humanity can honor the lost and rebuild. In 343i's universe, most of the same general events from Bungie's universe occurred, albeit, with drastically different looks and laws of physics. Some Forerunners are not only alive, but characterized and antagonistic. Also, any combat simulators programmed within this universe will be inexplicably shoddy.
