Do you think there's hidden Destiny stuff in Halo Reach

We know for sure Halo 3: ODST had a poster of Destiny in it. Well, Halo 3: ODST came out before Halo Reach. So, could Bungie of added a hint to Destiny in Halo Reach and no one has found it yet?

 • I don't know about Reach, but there's a pretty obvious one in ODST.

 •
Posted by: x Lord Revan x I've always felt that the Long Night of Solace mission was a testbed for Destiny. The space mission is not only a blast, but just seems like its itching to be explored moreso in a future title.
It would explain the space combat-like concept art they "leaked". Lots of potential.
I agree, but I think Reach as a whole was a testbed, Bungie was testing something new and used Reach for that. I remember also a Bungie statement saying, they monitored EVERYTHING on Halo Reach data, to fix all the problems and improve them.
Yeah, the campaign in particular felt like an oversized test, not to say I didn't like it (I actually really enjoyed it). It had so many new elements, like New Alex's "restricted exploration", a story focused on teamwork and the fight against the Covenant as a whole, and the aforementioned space combat in LNoS. I wouldn't be surprised if we see some kind of semi-open world in single-player and a scaled-down Planetside 2-style multiplayer with more customization (and minus continent-sized battles). As far as Destiny EEs in Reach go, I do think that they exist, though Bungie wouldn't have put in anything as overtly obvious as the Destiny poster in ODST. We likely won't realize what they are until we see more of the game.

 • I think the whole change of pace with the matchmaking and all the new features in Reach was a testing ground for Bungie, to see what worked well and what did not. I am very surprised though that we did not get any Destiny easter eggs in Reach. Maybe Micro$oft forbid it as a strategy to try and keep the fans focused on the Halo series rather than a future competitor to it.

 • Update: I went through all of the campaign missions again, and then again, and I haven't found anything related to Destiny. I've looked in a lot of places, did a lot of glitches, and did a lot of Easter Eggs hoping it would "activate" something. Sadly, I was wrong. I then thought maybe it doesn't have to be a hint through a picture, but maybe through a song in the game. Well, the first song I thought of was when you turn on the Easter Egg for Club Errera. Well, I finally got the song and reversed the lyrics but sadly, nothing. Hopefully, you guys got lucky and found something related to Destiny even if it is small. Lastly, those pictures I said I would upload won't happen. I went back and looked at the pictures again and again, and came to the conclusion that they're not related to Destiny and they're in-fact just Reach things. tl;dr

 • The environment and exploration will be similar to that of "star wars-knights of the old republic" with the same shading and darkness of odst i bet my big toe on it ;) [Edited on 01.01.2013 1:40 PM PST]

 • As well as ODST's map system and open world (to an extent). :-)
Posted by: x Lord Revan x I've always felt that the Long Night of Solace mission was a testbed for Destiny. • I'd be surprised if there wasn't some sort of Destiny easter egg in Reach. Now that we've seen some concept art and have an idea as to what we should be looking for, I'm sure we could find something.

Really long ones, even after E3. It was definitely a preview of some sort.
Posted by: EpicWaffles Lets Go Exploring! :D
I have long waited for a solid out of map experience. Knowing Bungie, they will not be afraid if the game ends up lagging. They know prioritization in that area. [Edited on 12.30.2012 6:06 AM PST]

 • Well, I went through the entire Halo Reach campaign today and found some strange pictures (I'll post them later) but other then that I couldn't really find anything really related to Destiny that much. [Edited on 12.29.2012 7:02 PM PST]
I hope so; LNoS was easily my favorite mission in Reach, purely for the space combat.

I honestly expected them to include the same kind of mechanics in a multiplayer dlc or something.

 • I wouldn't be surprised. Since we don't know much about Destiny, it's hard to know what to look for.

 • It is a possibility that there is a Destiny easter egg hiding in plain sight now we know some of the concept art for Destiny.
