Anyone else find the Halo 4 campaign boring?
Every mission was very anti-climactic if you know what I mean. They were pretty boring too, and very short (finished it in 4 hours, about the same time as Halo: ODST). The story line was decent, but it was just too messy. The multiplayer aspect of the guy is pretty decent I guess and I hear they're adding a ranking system soon, so should be good.

My first play through has been on heroic, and it took me maybe 8 hours over two days of shared play with my sister [I got her hooked on Halo, lol]. I agree in saying it was short, especially given that 343 want to make it a more story and character driven game, needless to say, I was pleased with how they handled things. Very much looking forward to 'Halo 5' or whatever they will call it :D

Finished it on ten hours on Heroic, first time around. It's the best [i]Halo[/i] campaign since [i]Halo 2[/i], and only just falls short of that benchmark. On a Solo Legendary run now, just finished Requiem. Dreading the arrival of the Knights.

I agree with Spartan120, The campaign does take a while to complete, and even though there are not that many levels, i think 343 Industries ( Sorry i had to mention them D: ) did a brilliant job of making the levels long without making them TOO repetative. although, in all fairness there should have been a lot more to do with the composer, as not much happens with it in the storyline, as its such a huge role in Halo, they should have empahsised it a bit more.

It is boring, I'm glad didn't bought it, either way, this is not the forum to discuss this theme I think, the flood would be more appropriate. This forums are to discuss about the universes Bungie has created, not about the quality of a game.

Are you guys even happy that halo 4 came out. The reason you guys find it boring is because you played it nonstop and finished it straight away.but can you at least tell me you found the new race a bit exciting and mabye you found the new race too challanging and just quit.two more things i found the new race much more difficult and infinity slayer is awesome. ps 343 spent all year to perfect this game so pay some respect [Edited on 11.12.2012 11:58 PM PST]

worse campaign in a halo. i knew what to do in each mission because weve played those mission before. legit every level was out of another halo game. no creativity at all especially when it comes to button pressing. i never wanna push another button ever again. It is unacceptable that i beat the campaign on heroic in 5 hours and some change. I didn't have fun and have no reason to go back to it other then to get the legendary achievements. first halo campaign i don't wanna play again. imo this whole game is a failure tho. its not halo anymore to me.

No complaints with Infinity slayer though, it's pretty fun, well for now anyway. [Edited on 11.13.2012 2:41 AM PST]

one thing they didnt do is tell the story through game play! everything u did was fight your way to this switch then that switch and so on, remember the last mission on reach, no matter what you did u lost now thats a good example .... i dont think halo 4 did anything like that once

I want to play the Campaign. Where is Campaign Matchmaking? I can't find it. Surely they wouldn't remove the feature that made campaign replayability amazing.

The campaign was kinda short. You only get to know the Didact for 5 seconds before actually killing him. They shouldn't make the chief talk too much in this game. [Edited on 11.13.2012 5:05 AM PST]
