Is it because of the server issues, or Hurricane Sandy?
Don't have the game yet, I'm just checking the Halo 4's statistics online.

Call of duty is the only other game that is breaking the 300 thousand + barrier. You should be glad.
Posted by: SweetTRIX Server issues, not everyone owns it yet, Sandy, time of day. Take your pick.
-
My friends list dropped from 46 people playing it to 18 playing it. Server issues apparently.
-
Some people are probably watching the election on T.V
-
1. Sandy ravaged the coast 2. Elections 3. Servers have gone to -blam!- apparently (I've had no problems at all) 4. The campaign is good so people are trying to complete it.
Posted by: Darth Kooky Reasons: 1. Everyone should be playing and finishing the Campaign first. A lot of people are doing just that. (I finished Normal earlier today, I'm going for my Solo Legendary run now.) 2. Hurricane Sandy knocked out power for a lot of areas in several countries. 3. Since it is still Launch Day, the servers are being put through their paces and are not running at optimal levels.
Pretty much this. And a lot of people are watching the Election.
Posted by: st3althsniper22 300,000 on launch day is pitiful.
Posted by: MrShyguy 300,000 is allot of people....

People have lives. People age.
-
Also, alot of people are playing Campaign.
-
If you haven't noticed, halos popularity has been dying down a bit since 3. For good reason.
-
I think I remember hearing that Halo 3 and Reach worked off how many logged in that day, maybe Halo 4 works off how many are just on.

That's awesome!
Posted by: Big Boy1229 The servers are god awful, and me and my friends gave up on MM after the umpteenth time it kicked us all to the main menu. Trying to party up with friends right now is damn near impossible.
weird, it's fine on my end... me and my friends have all ranked to at least SR-15 in the time we've played and we've had near perfect matches throughout the whole time...
-
Don't forget that it's a week day and the servers have been messed up all day. So there's really no telling how many people are actually playing.

I'm interested to see how it stacks up vs the current games on Major Nelson's weekly play chart. But that'll last until next week when BO2 comes out lol
-
Reach had double that. Halo 3 tripled it. 300k for most games is pretty good. One with a Halo title always pulls high numbers. Wait until Friday. I remember the first Friday of Halo 3-1.2 million people.

That is a hell of a lot of people to all be online at once. The servers are also pretty glitchy, as it is still day 1.

-
I am not surprised. There wasn't much hype for this game.
-
That's a lot of people bro, a lot of people. The serves have been glitchy as hell, which is due to the unpredicted amount of people on it at once.
-
more than half of my friends are in campaign. So pretty good chance a large population are in campaign doing that first.
