Things that I've always wished for but never got...

1. Dual wieldable M6Ds. I remember me and my friend both opened up on this Elite with our M6Ds, he went down in seconds. Then I thought, what if we both had 2 pistols? Overpowered? Yes. Should it matter? No. 2. H1 and H2 PC Campaign Coop. Halo 1 is, in my opinion, the best game for coop. I've been playing H1 since I was 10, and it still hasn't gotten old. When HCEA came out, I was very excited for Coop. But there are just some things I can do on the PC that I can't do on the Xbox. So I'm still very disappointed. Did Bungie ever offer an explanation for why they didn't include Coop in H1 PC? 3. Catch, Thunderstorm, and Tilt in HCEA. I have an odd memory of my first time playing Halo 1 on Legendary. I remember Elites throwing grenades at me in the Pillar of Autumn(first level), don't know what that's all about, but I thought I could relive that memory, since 343i is including Skulls in HCEA... Nope. 4. Ugh... you guys continue the list. [Edited on 09.30.2012 1:02 PM PDT]

 • 1. No! 3. How about first making it possible for skulls to be turned on/off without restarting the level? Anyways, yes for Catch (especially if it's like in Halo 2) and Thunderstorm, no for Tilt (which does not make gameplay more interesting, Tough Luck would be better). 4. Introduce ranged combat. Halo 2 did it horribly (Jackal snipers). 5. Make marines smarter. They should stick with the player instead of charging into battle, keep their distance from most enemies, and have a better RoF with their guns. They should aim at an unshielded Elite's legs to stop him from retreating into cover. 6. More AI numbers. Introduce 4 way battles (marines, Flood, Sentinels, Covies). 7. Better performance. Halo 2 prioritized graphics. The draw distance, AI numbers and existence, vehicles, etc. were affected by this. 8. Slower projectile speed for enemies. Cover based gameplay should be a thing of the past in Halo. It should be possible to outstrafe enemy fire. CE's gameplay was not necessarily cover based, but with more enemies, it will be very difficult to execute the various approaches CE is known for.a 9. Better enemy prioritization. Chief vs. a Zealot vs. 40 Flood combat forms. The Zealot should obviously focus on the Flood, but not completely letting down his guard.

Now I could care less. But this is the way I see the Halo friendly AI now: CE marine > Halo 2 Elite > Halo 3 marine > Halo 3 Elite > Halo 2 marine > Reach marine The Halo 2 marines are just damage sponges. Collectively they are a threat but that's obvious given their numerical superiority. Halo 3 marines have the decency to remain in cover and are better at operating vehicles. It's just that they are very persistent when it comes to vehicles, they just love to hog seats and steal my vehicles. But they are much more obedient than Reach marines; if I leave the Hog parked against a wall so the driver seat cannot be entered, the Halo 3 marines will stand by it. The Reach marines and sometimes the Halo 2 marines will run off into combat on foot.

 • So I'm the only one who doesn't notice differences in H3 and Reach marines? Well then.

Halo 3 marines spam grenades. Reach marines barely throw grenades. Halo 3 marines charge into battle and fight to the death. Reach marines charge into battle then retreat when they've lost enough men. Both marines are terrible representations. One's too aggressive and wants to be a badass. The other is passive and lazy.

Shock120 created the mod and allowed me to make a tutorial on how to use it but ultimately i closed my Youtube account and made another. I could re-upload the files and the tutorial if you really want co-op for H2V. As for Halo PC, co-op is not possible due to the netcode. AI doesn't sync and would need a large amount of reworking for it to work.

(Other than Sparky himself with Johnson...but...)
Marines are never there when the Sentinels are against us in the entire trilogy. In Halo it isn't clear as to whether Spark wants all the Reclaimers gone because at the end of the day, he wanted the Chief's head for Cortana and the Index. The other Reclaimers (Marines) don't have that. As for Johnson, yeah...we all know why that happened.

 • I would have liked to tweak the starting weapons at the beginning of each level. After, completing the game on legendary to make it more interesting. I've always wamted to do T&R with the old M-6D instead of the sniper.

I was opposed to it in Reach but Halo 4 makes it feel Haloish.

I don't know, I just agree on the chosen weapon of the mission. Though in some later games I wish they would have this feature. Specifically Reach because it is supposed to give you the feel of having full control of N6, which I feel includes the weapons he uses too.

Yeah some Reach starting weapons didn't feel suitable at all: WC with Jorge: AR regardless of whatever weapons you were holding outside of the relay. Interesting that there's less than 15 enemies TotS after Falcon crash: DMR + AR = you're basically forced to pick up the NR unless you conserve DMR ammo by using the AR LNoS: AR + pistol reinforces the team emphasis, which was practically non-existent in the campaign The Package: this is a landing mission? In Halo 2 Delta Halo, you had the Rocket Launcher. In Halo 3 The Covenant, you had the Spartan Laser. So for this level, it should have been the grenade launcher or plasma cannon. Instead, just the DMR and AR with 3 ODSTs who you can't swap with since they all have ARs. Oh and the only enemy at this part is Grunts PoA: pretty damn barren, barely any AR and pistol ammo. You're forced to use the enemy weapons (only for a short time thankfully since there's a DMR and rocket launcher nearby) Yep the AR and pistol. Extremely lame. The only levels with suitable starting weapons were: ONI, NF, Ex, NA, Lone Wolf [Edited on 10.08.2012 2:59 PM PDT]

 • Thank you, Sliding. Reach seems determined to rip you of what you ended up with (unlike every other Halo) at the end of the level, to place you in the worst possible position for the next. Cripes, man. A little continuity...

Gone are the infinite ammo swords and power weapon pwnage. Now there is only cowering at unstoppable might. [Edited on 10.18.2012 12:35 AM PDT]

You always started with Carbine + Plasma Pistol.

It's always the cutscene I think of when I reference how our weapon appeared in the cutscenes.

 • At least that was a good/above average start. Is so great to gather up fuel rod/needle rifle and get transitioned to the pea shooting pistol/useless AR. I did actually notice one clever thing on Reach this morning. When you enter the base on "The Package," the Sword Base level communications route is blocked...by high tide... That was pretty cool/inventive. Egh. Am trying here...

 • Hey, I said I was trying... "Return to the Battlefield in..." is a completely legit and realistic concept. I think we can all agree on that. In actuality, have had (some) fun in Firefight mode...Courtyard in particular. You'll curse me for saying it, but, have found a few worthwhile diversions in Reach. Has been so long since ODST vaguely reminded us of CE's brilliance...Am just trying to be optimistic here...

Done 2 days ago and I was so pleased with the outcome I put in a little more dedication than usual. Also, it took the slot for a future Halo 4 video I was planning on uploading. That's how significant it is to me. :P I didn't even look at the motion sensor.
