since bungie mainly changed sites, it seems. how to i get my maps to my halo 3 profile. i keep downloading and it says it will be there next time i log in and nothing yet. can we not download map variants anymore?
-
Nope, sadly. There may be a workaround, but I don't know it.
-
well thats no good. i hope there is or i can run into i person with a few of the maps i want. i was really only wanting the ninja training one. but tears.

Bungie didn't change sites. Rather, Halo did. On March 31st, all control of all Halo games switched to Microsoft and their Halo studio, 343 Industries. There is a notice on every single Halo page to this effect. No stats, no files, nothing updates anymore, and is only kept online for archival purposes. Microsoft maintains a Halo Reach stats and file share on their web site, halo.xbox.com, but it I don't think it has anything for Halo 3.

Unfortunately, Microsoft's website does not support Halo 3 files in any capacity whatsoever... though I haven't the slightest idea why. Tis a bummer.

Your best chance is to physically download from some ones fileshare via xbox, sorry man.
-
And that is why Microsoft fails.
Posted by: Blue FullSail And that is why Microsoft fails.
Well why should they accommodate a halo 3 feature (which would take a considerable amount of effort and resources) when they are getting ready for halo 4 and implemented halo : reach stats which is what most people want.

What Achronos said, I knew it was something like that, but I needed clarification too, so that post helped...
Posted by: randomrosso 343i are focusing on Halo 4 and less-so, Halo Reach.
Two things, one cool story bro, two I'm pretty sure they are talking about Halo 3 not Halo Reach.
Posted by: randomrosso The reason being simply that instead of devoting resources to a five year old game.
That is a poor excuse to be lazy. Bungie could have easily used that excuse for Halo 2 but they didn't. 343I has dominion over all the Halo's, I don't care how old the game is they should take care of it. 343's disregard for Halo 3 is shameful. The only reason that I can think of why they don't have things for Halo 3 on their website is because they don't want to make that hella slow glitchy website even slower/glitchier.
Posted by: randomrosso Common sense, really.
If common sense to you is being lazy then I guess you are a lazy person.

I don't play Halo 3 all that often any more, but I still enjoy popping it in from time to time and it's a shame that they've taken some of the great features like the File Share out. Bungie never would have taken it down had they any control. Keeping the file share online can't amount to all that many resources.. and it's just a shame that it was taken down.
