Ecuadorian Embassy in London Under Police Attack

At 12GMT, (Around 3 hours) police plan to storm the embassy (a VERY illegal act). Here is a stream, recorded 2 hours ago, there are already 10 police officers inside the embassy. I urge our friends in London to get down and protest this atrocity. For those who don't know, Julian Assange is currently seeking asylum in Ecuador. There is currently a very small amount of press covering this.

 •
Posted by: Scottus4
Posted by: Gdude Edgy guy here! Let's talk about how 9/11 and the moon landing were faked next. And the fact they want to hand him over Sweden is enough. The stuff he's put on the internet is enough to bring down alliances, if you want that, you're an idiot.
It would take someone wearing a tinfoil hat and holding an American flag in one hand while he types to believe that the United States has no interest in getting custody of Assange for making them look badly, and that this whole situation is legitimately fueled by the desire to see Assange stand trial for not using a condom.
There's nothing the American justice system can really do to him though. Thats the thing. And thats something that will get him behind bars so they'll take it.

 •
Posted by: TrussingDoor
Posted by: AgileNaruto001 What is so spectacular about this Julian Assange?
He's the wikileaks guy and a sex offender. But this is a bit much...
I doubt he's a sex offender (but you never know). I bet it's campaign to kill him. Im thinking the government will have him killed while he's in prison and a random prisoner will take the fall for it. The public will assume that he pissed someone off in jail with the Wikileaks thing and that person killed him. We'd all believe it as well. Seriously. There seems to be something sinister happening behind the governments curtain. The suits obviously want this man out of the picture. I dunno. I just throwing it out there. But it does happen I called it first.

I don't get it.
Because he does his best to shed light on corruption within some of the most powerful governments in the world?
He's also endangered countless lives of soldiers, their families, and operatives. If he had just released the corporate side of things, it'd have been fine, but he didn't. Thats like supporting the dark knight shooting if there had been a drug dealer in the crowd.
And by exposing operatives, he risked the safety of his country. Which means he risked the lives of every American.
Do you watch a lot of Fox News, by chance?
No, I fackin hate Fox news.

 •
Posted by: Recon Number 54
Posted by: bjb yo
Posted by: Recon Number 54 Anyone who thinks that the UK needs to or would consider such a barbarous act needs to stop reading conspiracy pamphlets and get some fresh air.
You do remember that the British government literally DID threaten to do this, right? So yeah, I would assume they're at the VERY least considering it.
The leader of every nuclear power has the equivalent of the US "football" near them at all times. Which means, they have the ability, the "threat", the capability, and have clearly considered the fact that they can immediately initiate a nuclear (limited or all out) strike against any nation on the planet at a moments notice. Does that mean it's likely? Some 40+ years of the US football existing and not even being used tells me that while not completely reasonable, public officials are not madmen either.
Off topic, but didn't a US president once leave said football at a laundromat?
Something I've wondered before, why do people always think "white knighting" is inherently bad? And why do they use it as a derogatory term?
Not inherently bad; I am guilty of it myself, on occasion. It's only bad when you defend something not worth defending, which is all subjective, yada yada.
