People Boycotting Oreos due to "-blam!- pride" facebook post

How messed up is this?
Oreo, the self-proclaimed "world's favourite cookie", has stirred up controversy on Facebook by pledging support for -blam!- pride. An image posted to the Oreo fan page shows rainbow layers betwixt its biscuity wafers, instead of the usual dollop of white cream. The photo was accompanied by the message "Proudly support love!". The post came after thousands of people attended -blam!- pride events in New York, San Francisco and elsewhere over the weekend. While most commenters were in support of the multi-coloured equal rights cookie, others disagreed with Oreo's tolerant stance, some even threatening a biscuit-boycott. "This is absolutely disgusting," opined Desean Washington. "Your attempt to 'normalize' the behaviour of homo-blam!-s has cost you a customer." Steven Osoria was another to express displeasure with the post, which provoked such a violent response that he had decided he was "never eating an oreo ever again". Facebook user Steve Permar, whose interests on the site include "Sarah Palin" and "I Love Jesus", posted: "Guess I won't be buying oreo's [sic] anymore", while Mike Wirth declared the Oreo post was evidence of "more homo-blam!-ity shoved down our throats".
[Edited on 06.26.2012 10:01 AM PDT]

 • I don't believe that psychologist believe people are born -blam!-. Pyschology has way more to do with your surroundings than the way u were born

 • People will always agree and disagree with things like this. IMHO, if they want to be treated equally, stop trying to stand out during a day/month.

Fairness for all
Or because they want to find out the truth which, coincidentally, is that people do not choose their orientation.

 •
Posted by: MadMax888
Posted by: XxExpungexX The real argument for any -blam!- issue should be whether or not people are born -blam!- or not.
There's no evidence to suggest there isn't some genetic predisposition to one's orientation.
There's no evidence to suggest that there isn't some magical fairy swaying one's orientation either. That's just not proper logic to say that because there's no evidence against something that something must be correct. So go back and cite the evidence for your position, rather than the lack of evidence directly contradicting it. There're plenty of studies for you to choose from about the determination of your orientation. And for Expunge, the easiest way for you to answer that question for yourself is probably something you've never thought off. Actually talk to someone who is -blam!-. Ask them if it's a choice or not. It's just that simple.

Therefore, celibacy is better than hetero behavior, correct? [Edited on 06.26.2012 1:21 PM PDT]

 • This is stupid as hell, no one should care about other -blam!-ity, or religion, or politics, etc. unless it evolves yourself! And a cookie supporting one thing shouldn't changed your opinions about it! And what about that guy who won a life supply of Oreos, what's he saying about this?

You keep saying, why is -blam!- a bad thing, why is it ok to hate of something different, why is unnatural a bad thing? The real argument for any -blam!- issue should be whether or not people are born -blam!- or not.
You was the one walking into the thread saying you're boycotting oreos because they support ghey rights. The real argument for any ghey argument is should they be given equal rights, specifically for marriage, as that's where they're largely being discriminated. Sure, if they're born ghey or not is scientifically important, as whether it's a choice or not shouldn't be relevant to social issues, but given that you think all scientists are incredibly biased, why should you care about scientific matters? Orientation is an attraction, not an act. It is possible to engage in a same-sex act while still being straight, and vice-versa. Regardless, though, there are documented cases of animals being exclusively attracted t members of their own sex. Seems to me like a pretty strong indicator that same-sex orientation is natural. Let's also not forget that "natural" doesn't have to be "non-human." Same-sex orientation seems to be a part of human nature, and is therefore very natural for those who experience it.
