Xbox vs PC gaming?

I'm wondering about making the switch from xbox 360 gaming to PC gaming. Are there any good FPS or MMORPG games? And generally which is better for gaming?

They have bad business practice and force some serious DRM, both on consoles and PC.
Not to mention that Origin is just a pain in the ass. Need I say that it's a bad rip off of steam?

 • I'll always be a console gamer and therefore will always lead you in that direction. Just go with the Xbox.

Funny how now that you are getting called out on it, you are getting defensive and throwing insults.
Throwing out insults when insults are thrown at me actually. I didn't once insult you obviously. I didn't once state that consoles were better or imply it. Only that I preferred them for certain games. Other games I prefer to play on PC. My basis was in my own experience. Accusations of being a fanboy are based on nothing. [Edited on 05.24.2012 1:04 PM PDT]

 • PC. Get STEAM as a starting point for games. Downloading and buying games is quite simple on that platform. Try some epic free-to-play games first to get a feel for it. TF2 is your best starting point. A non-STEAM game that's a good starter is Tribes Ascend. Seriously, PC gaming is so much more epic than xbox. And, you don't have to worry about damn "microsoft points" or paying monthly fees to have access to a marketplace. Oh and....DEDICATED SERVERS!!!!!! Easy to find bunches of people who aren't asshats to play with. [Edited on 05.24.2012 12:56 PM PDT]

 •
Posted by: Dayvan Cowboy Last I checked Skyrim was still 59.99 on steam. If it's not now it was at some point. So um....yes?
You must have missed the bundle sale where you could get Skyrim, Oblivion, and Morrowind all for $50.
Uhm, No? Brand new games on PC cost about 40-50 dollars on launch. The only ones who charge 60 bucks are EA and Activision, People you should be avoiding in the first place.
Last I checked Skyrim was still 59.99 on steam. If it's not now it was at some point. So um....yes?
You said games will usually cost 60 bucks. Thats 100% wrong, Because Most AAA titles cost 40-50 bucks. You can say what you want, but you are wrong, because only a fraction of AAA titles costs that much on launch. Mostly by penny pincher companies.
Yet it seems most AAA titles are published by either EA or Activision/Blizzard. So yeah.
Thats wrong too. Lets go through a list of games comming soon, and ones that were just released. Comming coon and just released, Under 60 bucks: Ghost Recon Future Soldier - 49.99 Prototype 2 - 49.99 Darksiders 2 - 49.99 Sleeping Dogs - 44.99 Sniper Eliet 2 - 49.99 Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City - 49.99 DiRT Showdown - 49.99 Game of thrones - 49.99 Street fighter X Tekken - 49.99 Binary Domain - 39.99 Games thats are 59.99: Max Payne 3 Black Ops 2 MW3 Yeah, Nah, Next time you talk, Make sure you understand what you are talking about. • Both have their advantages. A good 64 player game of caspian border conquest on BF3 is amazing. Then there are incredible free-to-play games, including Team Fortress 2, Tribes: Ascend, Blacklight Retribution, etc. If you're looking for great free-to-play MMORPG's, look at the company Nexon. They have incredible free-to-play games, like Mabinogi, Vindictus, etc. Not to mention, dem mods. Portal 2 and Skyrim just don't feel right anymore on the console because of things like the Steam Workshop.

OT: Personally I like FPS better on xbox, I'm used to it and after trying out PC for a while it's just not my thing. RPGs are better suited for PC.
