I miss Halo...
Reach is beyond frustrating to play because of the maps, settings, and overall slow gameplay, so I've been playing a lot of Halo 3 lately. Although it can be fun, there are also so many things frustrating with it like cheaters, bad maps and spawns, lousy weapons, and connection problems that are a turn off.
So to restate the title, I miss Halo, specifically the glory days of Halo 2 multiplayer. Back when gameplay was fast and intense and the maps were fun to play on.
As we near Halo 4's release date and more info is released, I just can't help but dim my eyes and frown with a sour disgust as my favorite gaming franchise takes a turn for the worst. H4 is straying from what made the originals so great and it's going to be one cluttered mess of unnecessary bells and whistles.
Perhaps it's time to just...move on?

I believe everyone is experiencing a painful tunel vision that anly allows them to see Halo 3 and Halo Reach, since those are the only two games available. Once Halo 4 comes out, horizons will expand and everyone will have a wider view on things.

I know the feeling. I can enjoy Halo 3 in little tiny moments, more so than Reach, but Halo 3 has just had it's time. Reach, on the other hand died faster than any Halo, and because of this you keep going back. You want Halo, and your options are between a rock and a hard place. I too, feel absolutely horrid the more I learn about Halo 4. But I've put in a new policy for myself. I started Halo for its campaign, I loved Halo for it's campaign and universe. I only became introduced to multiplayer a few months after Halo 3 was out. So as far as I'm concerned, the only thing that matters to me now in Halo 4 is the story. With this in mind, the blow will be less hurtful than if I was expecting a good game in all areas. On a side note, I'm getting somewhat depressed at how all my favorite series are killing themselves off. The most recent for me was ME3. I just don't have the strength to finish my Insanity playthrough. I love the campaign so much, but the end puts such a downer on everything in the series that it basically disconnected my love of the series itself. I still have some hope though. Just hang in there. Try exploring new areas of gaming while you wait for Halo 4. The more you play Reach, I notice, for myself anyway, the more depressed you feel about Halo 4.

I gave a touch under 12,000, and Reach just doesn't have the same magnetism to it. I can play for an hour and be bored. I don't even have time to swap another game for it. The Xbox just collects dust now; it was essentially a Halo machine.
