Punched a girl, no regrets

Yes flood, you read the title correctly, I punched a female in the face. Before I get flamed allow me to justify (or at least attempt to justify) my actions. >At a party >Go to back room where I put my belongings. >See's female rummaging through my backpack >See female pocket something >Ask her what she had in her pocket >She denies everything, I quickly look through my stuff "wtf my hundred dollars is gone >Irate, I tell her to give it back or were going to have problems >She spits in my face, tells me to eff off and says she could kick my ass anyways. >Sucker punch KO in the face Now I have court in a week. So flood were my actions justified? Do you think I have a chance in court? What would you have done? I know most of you are probably going to respond with "wow should have called the cops" or "should have just taken it back or tackled her to the ground" but calling the cops is a no go at a drug and alcohol infested party and I don't care if your a man, women, child or alien stealing money (a hundred dollars no less) is punch worthy. tl:dr OP punched girl for stealing money from him.

 •
Posted by: ikan 2576 Double standards are going to attempt to screw you over in every possible way by just saying "But she's a GIRL!" If that does come up, ask who ever said that that if a guy stole 100 big ones from a girl and then spit in her face, would it be just as injust as the same situation visa versa?
This.

 • Justified, and sexism shouldn't play an issue in courts if females want "equality".

 • So I just read through the whole thread. If this is real then go with this:
Posted by: DRAGON LORDX 83 You were justified completely. Here's what to say in court: - I had reason to believe she had stolen my belongings - She threatened me after I asked her if she stole my belongings - I was in danger and the constitution gives me the right to defend myself
You'll either pay a fine (which is a lot more than 100 bucks) or sit in jail for a while. But if it's fake (which it most likely is) then good on you for at least making a (somewhat) believable story.

 • They b*tch had it coming. I wish I could be so bold. Anyway, we could sign a virtual petition of people who agree with you, if you want.

 • I would have punched her, took my $100 back, then took whatever other money she had in her pocket as my compensation for having to go through all this effort, then left the party, wait one hour and then call the cops and tell them of a drug/alcohol filled party going on and have them disrupt the entire party. No one steals money from me and gets away with it.

 •
Posted by: TheAngryMagikarp Tell the jury that you considered "I can kick your ass anyway" as a threat. Also, WHY in the living -BLAM!- would you EVER bring even 20 dollars to a party, let alone one HUNDRED
•
Posted by: MC LOL88 wow, see, this is why men are sexist towards women all you want to do is beat someone who is weaker than you! do you think your tough huh? u a man now?
I'm sure he would have punched a man in the same situation. Way to be a d-bag. And to OP, use this defense: if women fight for equal rights, then punching them should be no different than punching a man. You might have escalated a little quick, but had you tried digging it out of her pocket, it would be -blam!- assault most likely.

 • I think that this case is probably just going to get thrown out/dismissed.

 • Most Likely Scenerio: Court favors her and you have to pay her a fine Worst Case Scenerio: You have to pay her a fine and do community service Best Case Scenerio: The entire case gets thrown out and nothing happens to anyone

 • Now if she had thrown a punch in the first place you could probably argue your case but seeing as you were the aggressor( regards to you throwing the first punch) and the fact that you could have been Under the Influence of drugs,I don't see either of you getting out with ease. But I do hope that both of you can come to an agreement without grudges and such. those things are just unnecessary, But I do hope your days get better.

 • Honestly that was a little extreme but you did nothing wrong as in the heat of the moment you can get angry. She deserved every bit of it though.

 • lol at all these comments here... OP depending on your lawyer and hers... your going to have to pay fine most likely, and do community service/program... She may get the same since she spit on you, however that wouldn't excuse violence since your life wasn't in clear and present danger... and unless someone else can confirm that she was stealing from you, she may not get theft as a charge... Even if her finger prints were on the dollar bills any lawyer can cover it up in court... Best case scenario, you both plea guilty and do some community service and pay a fine...

 • You did awesome. However, the court will not think so. They will always favor the woman, and they will say that since you did not see her put the money in her pocket that you had no clear authorization to punch her.

 • I laughed at OP's avatar. Would have confronted her in front of everyone, go outside to where everyone is, say "Guys, this girl is going through all of our stuff and stealing it, she has $100 of mine which she refuses to give back, who knows what else she has of yours." OR I would have taken it by force, not with a punch, but would have subdued her and taken the money from her pocket.

 • I don't think I would have punched her...I think I would have blackmailed her in some way. Tell everyone at the party that she's a thief, to give her the silent treatment. Perhaps steal something of hers and not give it back till she gives you your money back. The girls sounds like a straight up CUNNNNNNNNNNNT

 • Heads up buddy, if you seem to be losing the case, tell them to check her bank accounts(if she has one), and her parents bank accounts, and pull up any recent purchases she has made. They can track the money she's been paid, or the money her parents have been paid, and compare them to purchases. If she randomly spent $100, they'll notice, there you ho, proof. :)

 • Completely justified. I bring another point, why do Women say "Oh I can do everything you can do, I can be just like you" if when I see stuff in court where a guy manhandled her and the guy gets sent to jail.

 • I've would of hit her too, if she spat in my face and I clearly saw her in my belongings. I would I of falcon punched regardless if she took something or not. In your case, I would argue how she was a threat (spitting and "she could kick my ass anyways") and hence you reacted without thought. Do not hold anything back at court. You should know better than to take $100 in to a party, especially a party filled with drugs and alcohol, it's a simple no no. Let this event be a lesson to you, Good luck in your court case, you have nothing to worry about, you reacted from self defence. Although, a deep feeling says you're trolling, but if you're not then do not be offended, I just can't see someone taking $100 to party with that sort nature, unless you have a good reason to why you needed to money... ^^^ Darn, I guess I should of read the last page first, LOL, epic fail... Back to my coursework then... :( Grammar? it's never perfect... [Edited on 04.30.2012 1:42 PM PDT]
