Undiscovered Halo 3 Easter Egg

Looks like no more information for us. We must do the rest of the work, ourselves.
Here is what we know, so far.
-Easter egg is on a specific day
-Easter egg happens in a loading screen.
Based on that information, it could happen any day of the year, in a loading screen.
But, what is a loading screen? Most of the Halo 3 loading is done in lobby..
I figure, it's when you complete a mission, without scoring on. You come to the screen with the Halo ring filling up. That is the only loading screen I can think of.
Activating the Easter egg, seems to be most likely a button combination. How else would you activate one during a loading screen?
What we need to figure out
-The day
-How to activate the egg

Looks like we're going to have to somehow find out the anniversary of Adrian Perez and his wife. That'd probably be the day it's on, and then we'd have to figure out the activation of it.. [Edited on 07.20.2012 4:31 PM PDT]

The easter egg mentioned in the OP was that, if you were playing H3 on 14/09/2010, the clouds on Valhalla formed an image of Bungie laughing at people for buying Reach.

Ill throw in a couple of cents in there right now to spark ideas.. about the date it happens on --> it could relate the something with his wife. I doubt his wife wouldn't about care about any other date other than certain ones that are relevant to her importance. Has this been somewhat mentioned? Because this just came off the top of my head when i read the op

That is exactly where I saw it. I checked Mark's FB friends, and he has a friend named "Lauren". Not quite sure if it is his wife, since there isnt any particular information regarding towards the matter, but it might very well be his wife. If we could try this date with a some combinations of things, we might find something. Still, if he left such a big easter egg out there, I don't think that it will end here. There might be more to it.

If I can find an exact method for reproducing that glitch, then perhaps all we have to do is test that glitch on various dates that we suspect might be the ones required for this glitch.

I thought the whole secrets of sandtrap thing was resolved already. Within the walls of the structures on Sandtrap, there are random polygons drawn with white lines everywhere. Beneath the air lifts on Sandtrap, there are two green squares that look like Halo 1 teleporters which power the lifts. At each tower in the distance, there are davinci code easter eggs which fire faint sentinel beams into the mine field triggering the mines. And of course there are also a few secret rooms on Sandtrap. Or perhaps it's the ability to be able to somewhat control the guardians on Sandtrap and become a guardian? Does any of this stuff sound new for the Secrets of Sandtrap mystery? The xbox only goes to 2025...but good idea. I think it would be something with sevens. Maybe 7/7/2007...or coming up here on the seventh maybe if you beat the seventh mission or something? Nonetheless...the first mission Arrival has the leading screen right at the beginning for easy testing. Otherwise a save at the end of a level before completion would work just fine.
