The Site Update Wish-List.
A couple of things that I'll expect, or at least hope to expect in the next major site update. Post some of your predictions, or criticize others. Also, apologies if this thread has already been made several thousand times.
-Real-time topic and reply updating.
-A different color scheme for each forum.
-More in-depth profile analysis for users.
-A larger archive of footage from Bungie interviews and commentaries.
-A clearer and more accurate player and topic searching system.
-Bungie.net "friends" and affiliation list.
-A larger and more in-depth profile page, updated to display all information.
-Real-time live footage webcams.
-Daily interviews with the Disembodied Soul to determine his distance and time along the slow crawl towards infinity.
Again, some of these things are preferred, and some are rather not. Discuss what you feel should belong on this fine site.

We're used to it ;) I think a 'Community Ban-hammer' would be cool. Each day the hammer is passed to a different member. [i]Just imagine it..[/i] /joke Heres a few things.. - Thumbs up/down - Outbox - Red/Green light to show if that user is online - Pictures in group news -

I submitted my question about 20min before he closed the [url=http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=69487473&postRepeater1-p=11#69564089]thread[/url]. I would love to see live streaming cameras. Hopefully they aren't using up all their banwidth playing minecraft. :)

Most of the above. -Parse https for hyperlinking. (It's already used on the site, just not on the forums eg: Link to EFF in Bungies stance on SOPA news) -Parse invalid characters to valid ones (already a GM script)

While more in depth profiles and soul updates would be nice, the only thing I really want is better post formatting. For example in a private group when you submit news you get some of the Microsoft Word tools like click on formatting, strikethrough and superscript. This should be how we post to the forums. [/quote] I don't think so, that is why they can go through the threads and those threads and read them and see if any might have happend instead of making the same thread that was made about a month ago.

Most of these things are likely to come especially clan things if the new IP has anything thing to do with MMO style or even a multiplayer. Now if it is Open world RPG this would not really be necessary. Plus i do not want this to be Facebook rather just have some things streamlined. Example: Clan on a bar on a side of the page. Friends that are online Maybe topics that have been replied on. Plus maybe a live reply screen maybe in the corner, where one can use to communicate with certain groups. Not seen until you select option to join group chat on the group which is on the group toolbar.

Really, manually using BB Code takes all of about two seconds, and it's hardly difficult to remember the few other text formats we have available. In addition to the latter, we hardly have enough text formats to properly make use of an MS Word look-a-like text box.

I also don't want the look of the forums to change, but I think it would be nice if there was a little toolbar on top of the reply box, even if it would just automatically add the BB code to the post.
