I mean, yes its food, but its ten years old. Since then, other Halos and other shooters have come out that are way better than this.
Look at Halo 2. That is a masterpiece, and Halo 3 is not far behind.
And Reach, I k ow you all probably hate Reach, but its way better than this game
Be honest, how many reasons for this game being perfect have you got that dont relate to nostalgia? Are you sure you dont just loce this game to bits because it gave you so many happy memories as a child? I loce other game for the same reason. But you cant call CE perfect, not now, you just cant.
The level designs on some parts suck hard. Es
Eciaply Assault on thr Control Room and 343 Fuilty Spark. I play shooters to shoot things, not navigate through a goddamn maze.
So yeah, thats why i thunk you cant call a ten year old game perfect
Posted by: Mark V guy
Posted by: Sliding Ghost I'd rather play CE then that horrible FAIL attempt known as Reach, which tried to be like CE and failed miserably. Makes me think Bungie thought the friendly AI in CE are bad, when they were much better as they didn't drive, didn't wield rocket launchers, and were much more longer lasting.
If you just played on easy, you find Reach campaign to be a much more enjoyable experience I agree that normal and upwards are too damn hard, but stick to easy and you'll have fun
Maybe some people want an enjoyable and challenging experience by playing the game on the hardest difficulty so that they can feel accomplished in doing so.

But after playing every halo game (CE, 2, 3, ODST, Reach) I still love to come back to Halo CE because it doesnt bore me like the others do. I like their storyline as well, but Halo CE just appeals to me more. It's not perfect, but I love it and I know a large group of people who actually played all the games as they came out (which means they actually played Halo CE first then Halo 2 and so on and so forth) are in agreement with me that Halo CE appealed more to them.

No game is perfect but when I play halo, I almost feel like I am playying a game made by bungie before 2000. and those games also have fustrating mazes for me too man
Posted by: Mark V guy And games are supposed to be for fun, not brainstorming.
You have to "brainstorm" your way through Halo: Combat Evolved levels? Really? Another thing: Some games are for brainstorming. Sometimes people actually like using their brain... You know, because they have one. ;)
Posted by: Dr Syx OP, please play any of the Marathon games and record it to put on YouTube. That would be hilarious to watch...
This so much. The first level in Marathon: Infinity was confusing as hell for me. Still not sure how I beat it.

You may be using the wrong word, but saying maze implies you found it difficult to find your way around. My 6 year old little brother beat CE, the only level he got lost on was 343. And even then, it took him about 1 minute to get back on track.
Maybe your six year old brother has more patience than me lol It is a maze because you get lost all the time
Just go forward and follow the arrows and green doors, man =P
This. Not once have I ever gotten lost on CE. The only level I found that could get players lost was The Library and MAYBE parts of 343 Guilty Spark. Other than that, it's not hard at all to see where you're going, it practically holds your hand with all the arrows on the floor telling you where to go. -
