Bungie Weekly Update
Hey guys, an update so lacking in movie info that you'll be all, "Whaaaa?" But them's the breaks. In this short weekly update we talk about everything BUT the Halo movie. Go figure. See you next week!

Players can also use some button combinations with every weapon, and I doubt that Bungie replaced the Battle Rifle with the Assault Rifle just so that players wouldn't use button combinations with the Battle Rifle when Bungie could simply [i]remove[/i] the button combinations from Halo 3. Yeh it was a good update, but because i am a PC gamer, and dont have an xbox, and have never played Halo 2 (ive watched)... I WANT A TRAILER OR SCREENIE OF HALO 2 VISTA!!!! CMON!!!! WE PC GAMERS HAVE WAITED 3 -blam!- YEARS!!! Weve waited long enough I dare say, not fair taht Halo 3 will also be delayed for PC...you think you xbox goers have it hard becasue u have to wait for info... try Halo 3 PC 2010!!!!! Reward us kind folk at Bungie. I dont care if its the bottom of Chiefs shoe, i just want something of Halo 2 PC!!! [Edited on 8/12/2006]

Great Update i have a few things to say though....First off why is everyone so suprised theyre bringing back the carbine??? also why were you using the carbine where u maybe THE ARBITER because he sucks as a playable character or maybe you were using the carbine because the BR has been replaced by the crappy AR because too many noobs get bxr'd in the face and complain about it hmm hmm....also if some of you were TRUIE fans of Halo youd be excited by ANY tidbit about Halo 3 even if it were just confirming that the master chief is still sage and youd also be EXCITED about information about the Novels i personally LOVE the novels i mean where else are you going to learn that captain keyes was actually there when Master Chief aka Spartan 117 aka John was chosen to participate in the spartan II program i mean learning about their training and everything they had to go through to become spartans is awesome(even with the losses of some of the chiefs comrades during the augmentations) also about the halo movie dont be so dissapointed about the lack of information i mean the movie is way farther off then Halo 3 and look at the limited info we are getting on it.....i am slightly shaken that the director is going to have the Halo Movie be his first REAL project...Hopefull he hes like the next steven spielberg but anyways sorry about my rant it will most likely either get me blacklisted or get edited and contain 3 words those words being "Halo is awesome" lol sry had a geek moment( even though i sense many people will think i have normal moments and the rest of my life is filled with geekdom)but yea sorry again if i think of anything else ill edit my post heh

True, great games take around 3 years, and Halo 3 has been in development since Nov 2004, so if we assume Bungie will release H3 around Nov as well, they have been working on it for around 1 year and 8 month now, with 1 year and 2 month remaining :) Good update, i liked the AI -blam!--bits. I can't wait to see the Ghost in H3, imo it was one of the finest things in H2. Hell, i can't wait to see the Warthog and the Schorpion either.

[/quote] Because we had less information on Halo 2 at this point in development? No. It's just there were announced at different times, and the fact that Bungie should be able to produce an image or information to hype their new game at this point shouldn't be a difficult task. Halo 2 was successful due to hype, and I never said I didn't like hype because that is what sells games, and I for one enjoy the fact that money can be made like this in America. But for Bungie to not want to hype up their game is absurd because then they are saying they don't want to sell copies. As for the ATV, I never complained because it doesn't matter to me if we get that in the game or not, big deal, so the fact that you're putting words in my mouth is quite critical just plain stereotyping of the community members. Next thing is, for all I know, Halo 3 could come out in January - December 2006, so 5-17 months from now, and we've had still known more teasers about Halo 2 at that point in development, without giving away major plot points of the game. Fact of the matter is, I don't want Halo 3 to turn out like Halo 2, and it would be reassuring to the community if some information on a game that is well into development to see some progress on how it's doing, not reports of a graphic novel each week.

nice to know that i wont be getting tired of playing campaign with the same old battles over and over again. although i still love Halo:CE and hold it close to my heart.yeah that sounded really -blam!-

what the hell is he smoking? the carbine has always been superior to the BR with experienced players. not dissing frankie or anything but it doesnt tAKE a 1080p res. to play with the carbine (although it is awesome but then again its like saying i prefer the sniper over the beam rifile cause it sounds way cooler on my bose surround sound.. its just retarded. I wish there could be real news with stuff like "and this week the movie has begun production" or "even the littlest thing like screenshots of halo 3". great games but why the -blam!- does bungie take so damn long with everything they do. no matter how small the project.

Cool Update. Listen people, be thankful you ARE getting at least [i]some[/i] information on Halo 3. It would be very easy for Bungie to just say nothing. But the fact they are telling us about some things says a lot. They like to keep in touch and inform their community. Stop complaining, and stop being so self-important! I hate it when people say they've been waiting x weeks for a "good" update. Like Achronos said, yous are expecting [i]way[/i] too much at this early stage. This is 2006, Halo 3 is not released 'til 2007. Be patient(which some of you can't).

Don't get yourself into a hole Frankie! Keep updating us with some little halo 3 tidbits every Friday and people will throw that in with their standards, just like people will complain if a weekly update got canceled. I love hearing Halo 3 info even if its small but certainly not every week, throw some h2 matchmaking into the updates!

I'm really looking forward to SCREENSHOTS. If any come out soon, I'm gonna go to my bedroom and look at them in private, not doing anything odd... Anyways, good to hear the stuff about Halo 3's AI and Graphics!

Some Grunts on Earth may not even be aware of the rebellion. The Master Chief could kill Grunts in Gravemind and I believe High Charity, also. [Edited on 8/11/2006]

I really hope the improved AI driving of the marines are better that cause I think the ones on Halo 2 blows. Another victory for Bungie.

That was cool. I'm just happy the marines are better drivers, and the battle affect on the marines and the covenant sound much better
