Ruin Halo 2 for me, and I will crush you.....
I am a busy man. Work, friends, ladies shopping etc. I do not have time to sit down and play Halo 2 (when it comes out) for days on end.However some people clearly do. I may choose to visit b.net before I get around to completing Halo 2, and I would prefer to discover the story of Halo 2 for myself, rather than be told it by the title to a thread that says 'So what did you think when the master cheif died' or whatever. So please, have the common courtesy (Yes, I know some of you users find it hard to put this word into practice) to clearly label your threads with *SPOILER*, as well as not give any story ruining info in the title of your threads. I am sure many of the more busy users agree with me on this, so back me up. Or you will be crushed also.
Together we can make this community a better place.

Yeh, but i think i wont even have the time to get on B.net, cause Halo 2 will suck up all of my time!

There was a thread on this in Dark Halo.... My plan is take vacation for at least a week. First day...non-stop campaign, on Heroic most likely. As soon as I'm done. Watch the DVD. After that, check my chapter. Next, here. Next look at New Mombasa and listen to the stupidity its become known for. Second and following days. Xbox Live. But more on that later. I won't be looking anywhere near Bungie.net until after I destroy another Halo ring. Or whatever you do in Halo 2.

I've taken 3 days of vacation starting the 10th... during that time, I plan on doing very little other than playing Halo2 SP as hard and as far as I can. [color=white]Often the date of release is simply placed on a website or in a bookstore as an [i]estimate[/i]. The strategy guide won't be in stores for sale or perusal by the general public before they're able to buy the actual game. Gamestop, for example, will take $5 off the price of the guide if you buy it with the game on release day, as they often do with games that have high profile releases (Doom3, Full Spectrum Warrior, and Ninja Gaiden come to mind). If the book comes out before the game it'll spoil the experience for someone, and Bungie won't let that happen. On the topic: I won't be visiting the forums here until I beat the game and play much multiplayer. Then I won't have to worry about fools who can't properly and respectfully use the forums without giving away details in their thread titles. How much of the story do you think will be given away in the strategy guid? Cuz it will be out before the game, giving the potential for spoilers before the game is even released. Personally, I think that it should be put on the shelves either the same day as the game, or a little while later.

From the moment of Halo 2's release till the moment I beat it, I am becoming deaf, going to poke out my ear drums. Not speaking to anyone and not letting them speak to me. Most games I play a level or 2 on the campaign before going on XBL. Halo 2 will be alot of fun but if these forums are an example of the people I am going to be playing with, many XBL Halo 2 players will be total jerks or just plain stupid. Not all of you, not even most of you, but more so than I have played with in any other XBL game. I am certain some idiot or some 8 year old will try and spoil the ending. I am not coming to the forums, ANY forums, B.Net, or playing any game on XBL from 11/9 till the day I receive Halo 2. Why the day I receive it? Trust me, I'll beat this game the day I get it. I was at the xbox.com Kotor forums about a day after I beat it and someone spoiled the game. Luckily I had beaten it, but many had not. I tried to warn whoever I could but some people can be jerks.

Honestly, your best bet may just be to wait until you've played the game before coming back to the forums if you're worried about spoilers. As of yet, no rules have been passed down from above as to how we will deal with spoilers. Whether we'll require a warning in the subject or not, for example, has not been decided.
