1. The wallpapers will be judged on a scale of 1(worst) to 3(best) for the first round, and 1(worst) to 5(best) in the second.
2. The maximum score for each wallpaper is 15/15 in the first round, and 25/25 in the second.
3. A third round will be used if there is no clear winner after the second.
4. There will be two rounds, the second round will be composed of the wallpapers that score 12/15 or better in the first round.
5. The first, second, and third place wallpapers will then be chosen.
[b]6. The top three places will be asked to give proof that the wallpaper is theirs, if there is doubt by the judges that it isn't, by providing the [i].psd[/i] file if the wallpaper was made in Photoshop, prior to claiming their prize.[/b][/quote]

Well , shipping for the product I want may go a dollar or two over 25 bucks, which I'm willing to pay I guess, it's well worth it. But I've yet to hear from rombo man on how exactly to go about claiming this prize (is it a gift certificate like thing, or is he going to purchase it for me), and if I'd be able to pitch in for the extra couple dollars or so. It's also a bit of a shame to see two of the top three wallpapers not get rewarded, but this was never meant to be a large, cash-prize winning contest in the first place. [Edited on 7/27/2006]

You have to account for the fact that it's not simply an image, but subtle art. It can't overpower your screen, but it should be nice to look at. An dof course, its always best to keep the focal point in the center or to the right, given that most users keep their shortcuts on the left. Because you have to make sure things will blend or work out pretty well so the user can use the desktop and not be blinded by the Wallpaper.
