No credits earned for completing a campaign mission?
I was playing the first level on campaign, beat it, when the next level appeared, I saved and quitted as soon as I got out of that falcon. When I was at the menu it said to press the back button to see how much credits I had earned. It says I had earned 0 credits. What the heck just happened? Is it possible because I completed it on Easy. Is this a glitch, will I earn my credits?
This is stupid because I get credits for fooling around in Forge.

My stuff is even more weird. I started the solo campaign and did the first 2 missions on heroic. and ranked up to officer (or whatever the 2nd rank is called). Then my roommate came home and we redid the first two missions for fun (so he could experience them too) and he leveled up too. Because next to getting cR from killing monsters, you get cR for completing missions as well. So now we completed the game and I didn't pay much attention to my credits. But he reached rank 4 and has 19000 credits, but I still have only 4000 and am still rank 2. So before I started playing coop, with scoring turned off I did lvl up and got credits... and after playing coop my scoring got turned off and can't get it turned on again... even if I play solo again. A weird bug that should be fixed. Because even though playing through the missions is fun, I don't get rewarded and can't buy gear but my m8 who is just joining in has 19.000 credits to buy new cool looking armor and I have nothing, although I played all the same missions and in general kill more monsters than he does. I played co-op campaign split screen with a friend. We were not connected to xbox live because we didn't have an internet connection at the hotel we were staying at. I had the second option for scoring turned on (I think it was team or whatever). Both profiles are on my local xbox profile. We were using two skulls throughout and did about 6 or 7 missions. I recieved NO experience or credits. I was a Warrant Officer grade 3 and my progress to captain didn't move AT ALL. I logged us both back into the campaign when I got to my house while connected to xbox live and got NOTHING. I even started the next mission and ended it to see if that would help. Nothing. I have the achievements for completing the first 6 or 7 missions on legendary and even on for destroying corvette engines in less than three minutes but I received no credits or experience. What's the deal? I thought doing legendary campaign would help me rank up but it hasn't. Anyone know whats up?

So seeing as though most people end the game as soon as the next mission starts, of course you're getting 0 because it already gave you the cR from the previous one.

But it only shows how many credits you get for the last game you played. And, like you said, the next mission had started, and because you didn't do anything on it, you didn't earn any credits. Does that help?

To everyone who says you need to have scoring on, you don't. Here's what's happening. You're playing a couple missions, then quitting when the next one starts. On the credit totals screen, you are only seeing the number of points that you have accumulated in the current mission that you JUST started, be it 0, 12, 60 or however many credits. But write down your total credits amount before you play campaign, and then check it after playing a few missions. You won't see a scoring screen after every mission, but you're still racking up credits and working toward commendations. You can even hit the start button after fighting a group of enemies and see that your credit amount has gone up by 50 points or so. It's all happening, it's just not telling you about it.

please read atleast some of the posts before you post you get credits per kill, and it wont show the credit screen in between missions you still get your credits.

WRONG! turn on campaign scoring! thats the only way to get credits! (as long as its normal or higher dificulty)

i completed Halo:Reach by myself on Legendary and got 2 credits!!!!! WTF is that man? they better patch that glitch i even thought you got like 35,000 cR? i only got 2 wtf. any thoughts?:(

Probably from beating it on Easy. I got disconnected from LIVE during a mission once and it caused me to only get 60 cr for beating the mission after, I was annoyed.

This is a misunderstanding you actually get credits for commendations and your medals you don't get anything for completing a mission. And for some reason when scoring is off if you press back to check your score you get a +0 this is a bug of some sort an will probably be fixed but you definitely get credits when you complete the mission

You need to have campaign scoring on. I did it on heroic, and got credits for every kill. Not sure about the other levels

i played the first 4 missions on hheroic and got 26 cR's WHAT HAppEnD??!?

You have to do it on at least Normal difficulty, you dont get $h!t for easy, not even achievements. [Edited on 09.15.2010 6:10 PM PDT]

Only on normal or higher do you get credits. You also get credits for every kill you get in Campaign. It really adds up.
