I thought everyone said Halo: Reach is just a copy of Modern Warfare 2???? Why then cant we set up classes like a sniper class, or assualt class. Why is bungie doing it for us??? All the people out there that keep saying Halo: Reach is Modern Warfare 2 please explain why I cant customize my spartan before I go onto the multiplayer battlefield???? Hello anyone??? Bungie, I think you overpowered the Elites, i mean Spartans are supposed to be superior to the Elites, why else do the covenent consider Spartans a huge threat? if a Spartan cant kill an Elite in a 1 on 1 fight, the war would have been over a long time ago in the game. Also will loadouts effect gametypes like infection at all? infection is going to be in Reach right?

We lost power around here before the update came up...just read it, and wow, I'm suprised at two things: 1. How Bungie can take what makes other games great, strip them down to their essence, and make them decidedly 'Halo'. 2. The continued progression of ideas in Weapons and Equipment from Halo CE all the way to Reach. It's gunna be a long wait until May....

Same here the new plasma rifle looks better. One thing i hated about plasma weaposn they were useless afteryou were done used up all th energy. I hope beem rifle able to reload or recharge, nothing worse than used up sniper rifle and no clips to feed it.

Dear Bungie, Read your own books, Spartan's have more advanced shielding technology then elites do. Elites are just ridiculously stronger and can therefor take more bullets. If you have read any of your books that feature spartan II you would know this. Please take this into consideration.

Man, as much as I'm seeing people liking these new changes, there are just as many people whining that they don't want to have anything change. The problem is that if nothing changes, there is nothing new to entice the player to stick around because it gets boring. As much as all of you whiners are complaining before even the beta is out, and even though you make empty threats like you won't buy Reach, everyone still knows you will still get it, and if you liked the previous Halo games there is a slim chance of you not liking it. Because even will the new bells and whistles, it's still going to be Halo. I would like it though if the people who whined about every little different thing would follow through with not buying the game. Would make it so much more enjoyable for the rest of us that want to play. In short, stopping judging a game before you even play it.

Great update, Bungie. I don't understand all this hostility towards loadouts and stuff... you people realize loadouts have been around LONG before modern warfare, right? Having them in Reach doesn't automatically ruin the kind of fun you've expected from past Halo iterations. Trying [i]before[/i] crying, 'kay? Also, good move on adding overheat to the warthog's gun. I loved the hog in Halo 3, but of course it's a bit too overpowered in certain areas. Gunners incapable of laying off the trigger was pretty annoying, too. [Edited on 04.03.2010 9:42 AM PDT]

great update cant wait for the beta but you don't hear too much about the elites id like to know a bit more about them like how their armor is customized all we seem to get is spartan spartan spartan like

Glad to hear a bit more about the Elite's presence in Multiplayer. The way in which they differentiate from the Spartans this time 'round definitely sounds interesting, and I'm excited to hear more in the weeks ahead.

I'm really worried about the state of vehicles in halo and how much people will use things like the warthog. The warthog was in no way overpowered before, and would easily succumb to things like the laser. The laser was an unnecessary addition to the Halo universe. I think it ruins the fun of vehicles. If you get one guy who goes for the laser too much in multiplayer, no one can get in vehicles for fear of just exploding instantly. I thought the whole fun of vehicles was that they're overpowered compared to normal weapons, and you have to at least vaguely have some skill to take them down- and the plus side of this for the vehicle is that you can dodge a rocket because there's some finite time that you can see it coming- but in a large multiplayer match you usually cant even see people charging the laser out in the open because the red beams don't show up. In heavy gametypes, the scorpion and gauss hog were the only vehicles even worth attempting to use, because with 3-5 lasers on the map there's no way any of the other vehicles could take down someone threatening them immediately. In this game it seems like you should be making vehicles MORE powerful if anything, so as to restore their strength. I think all the new uses of EMP are cool, but am worried it will only encourage more people to skip out on the vehicles, especially if you have lasers on the map. In Reach, since it seems that there are many more possibilities to shoot down or destroy vehicles with new weapons, the Laser seems incredibly overpowered and like it will ruin the balance in a way. If you're going to let someone with the invincibility shield stop a splatter (while destroying the vehicle), or let someone with a grenade launcher plant a remotely detonated explosive (that ALSO has an EMP), or give someone a plasma launcher, then wouldn't the laser be that much more over the top? The laser will be strengthening foot soldiers' fights against vehicles and doing it in a way that the vehicles can't even respond to. I have a lot of trust in Bungie, and know they know how to make fantastic games, but this seems to be something that they didn't quite get a grasp of in terms of balance in Halo 3, at least like they did in Halo 2. The fact that they never changed Heavy gametypes to have less lasers always made those games about the laser and never about vehicle battles, which was the whole premise I thought a heavy gametype was going to go after (put 4 extra rocket launchers on the map if you have to, but not 4 extra lasers!). I hope you can consider my input when you balance the final vehicle and weapon layouts, because I believe with a little tweaking to the Halo 3 system games could be a lot more fun with vehicles, WITHOUT having them be too overpowered.
