I can't believe PVP is a snipefest...

Was the current meta the vision for Destiny? a game where you have unparalleled movement options, a diverse array of weaponry, class based moves that augment play styles, and the overall ability to make the player feel like a superhero, all reduced to nothing in favor of wait and bait sniping. Everything in this game from cool downs on supers and grenades, on top of lower TTK primaries not being an option for countering snipers, all promote camping. Bungie, I urge you to think about what I'm going to say here... The crucible has struggled to draw the numbers you expect from your pedigree as a developer... You have forced us into to trials for weaponry we would have obtained in y1 from raids, you've released almost all PVP based events, and created disparity in light levels for level advantage modes via poor drops. It's obvious you are desperate to get people to play PVP. My friend is new to Destiny. He recently ventured into the Crucible and wasn't able to get a single kill in 6 matches.... This is a guy who is very proficient in first person shooters. In the same day, he was able to get kills on both Halo 5, B03, and Titanfall. Without trying to sway his opinion(mainly because I don't want to scare him off considering that my entire clan has left the game) I just listened to his observations... he was immediately blown away by the immediate, undeniable inability to even look around corners without punishment. Not to mention almost every up close firefight ended in him being one or two shotted by a sniper rifle in CQC. I do not believe that every single team that I play against features one other player who is a pro sniper. There's plenty of video evidence online that shows the snipers do not have to fully connect with the head to register a one shot kill. I myself have several pieces of video evidence that show me being killed around corners, or through walls which I attribute to latency and overly large hit boxes. Conclusion: Destiny PVP is a difficult game to get into and was in many cases, dropped by PVE players who are not accustomed to dealing with lag and piss poor weapon balancing. I can name many games that are easy to play and hard to master, unfortunately Destiny is the opposite, hard to play and easy to master... This pushes people away. Having a game where a niche', more skill-based weapon such as the sniper rifle is relatively easy to use, and dominate in the meta, is the worst possible balance for the health of the game. I was hoping in the latest patch that the sniper rifles would be addressed but instead you gave a "by proxy" Nerf to Shotguns and fusions in 3v3 game modes. Edit: I appreciate everyone who has contributed with constructive criticism, lively discussion, humor, and debate. It's refreshing to see a post on these forums not devolve into name calling and insults.
