Honest question
How do you counter snipers if you can't flank and they are camping? High caliber rounds don't seem to affect them and I've gotten quick scopes against me in shotgun range, when they are at three percent, midrange and most engagements. I want strategies that I can use to outplay this dang meta

Use mida. As a sniper scrub i can assure you its a pain in the butt. You may get sniped oncw or twice but there is no counter to that, like i use last word(pls no hate pls pls pls) to counter anyone who rushes me with a shotgun. Its very effective but i cant counter 100% of shutgunners. I'd say i still get the better of a shotgunner 7-8/10 times. Shame the range got nerfed so much they have to be literally in melee range to kill me.

Attack with a friend who is using a scout or pulse or a sniper. Use a grenade to add a distraction and rush and jump and blink and while you do that your friend can shoot at them. This is what I saw people doing in my very limited horrible trials matches. The shotgunner will distract me and the sniper kills me.

Use a sniper, get comfortable with it and it gives you some insight into the thoughts of someone using a sniper. It might help you predict how someone with a sniper will play, and you can make your approach accordingly. Won't always work, but I'm a sniper, and I found that fiddling with a shotty helped me to understand them a little better and find ways of combatting them. Just a thought. Hope this helps. P.S. I personally think they should take away ADS from every sniper and force people to use NLB. Then you can finally see who´s good at sniping. The only problem is that we´re back after that in the positions were shotguns are op. Anyway, I don´t care that much anymore. I´m waiting for Division to come next month, then it´s goodbye Bungie. Though I would like to see an emote were you can slap either Deej or Cozmo for not making an effort or making a push to their bosses to making this game better. Also if you have not noticed, the damage referee does not work, so good luck with that!

2 RepliesIf you're using a shotty, you can close distances with blink, jumping / sliding. Don't approach directly, go around. I've played against a lot of shotgun users and the better players jump up when they're within 10m to throw off my aim. They'll shotty me from the air. I'm not a great player, so this might not work on a more skilled player, but it's worth a shot.

2 RepliesHonestly... Best and most effective way to counter is using grenades that either blind, damage over time, or.... Well i guess hope to GOD you can get close enough to move side to side and shoot and hope you get a kill.... I understand how you feel bro.. Others say snipe back but the truth is, how can you snipe someone who is 10x better? People say get good but in reality, there is nothing you can do except quit and hope you get a match where people shotgun instead.. Snipers are so broken now
