THE CRACKPOT THEORY: WHY ACTIVISION AND BUNGIE ARE SO FOCUSED ON PVP.

So take this with a grain of salt because it is a crackpot theory but i think it holds some weight: Activision holds the sole publishing rights to everything destiny related. Activision also recently aquired MLG one of the biggest esports organizers and the oldest. They have aceess to all MLG events and streams. My theory is that activision is pushing bungie to get destiny pvp realdy for the esports scene. which is why there are so many channges coming to destiny's pvp. The matchmaking is being made tougher because they want better players to start rising to the top. The changes to game modes and special ammo are tweaks to try and make matches more competitive because they would be more entertaining to watch as an esports event. This is my theory as to why bungie decided to hide and lie about the matchmaking changes until it couldnt be covere up anymore. This is my theory as to why bungie is continuing to focus of problems in pvp that most people were not really being vocal about and ignoring the ones in pve that people are being vocal about. Activision is trying to get its investments aligned here. Again this is just a crackpot theory and i definitely have my tinfoil hat on but i think there may be some nuggets of truth to this. Anyway let me know what you guys think.
