COZMO replied - What's up with TTK cryptarch shaders?
Many of us would love to know what's going on with the shaders and emblems that launched with TTK expansion that are supposed to drop within Cryptarch rank up packages.
Ive asked many, many people if they have ever personally received anything shader or emblem related (from TTK) or if they know anyone who has received either from cryptarch packages. The general community consensus is that they are impossible to obtain or cannot drop from rank up packages.
People are receiving year one shaders, but none of the year two shaders that we can inspect in the shaders kiosk.
My questions for you, are they obtainable? Is it possible for you to see if anyone has actually gotten any of these items? Is it bugged?

So go out there and grind and maybe RNGesus will drop one for you (don't bet on it). Stay tuned for updates on when the rest of the shaders might be released in future Destiny updates.

They should've been put on the loot tablet the day that they figured out we'd been screwed out of getting them for the better part of the year. Acknowledgment from bungie means very little. Yeah we -blam!-ed up....again. The real question is WHEN WILL YOU GE THEM IN THE GAME? How long will that simple fix take bungie? They are incompetent.

In case you haven't guessed it yet, they pulled them thinking not enough players would notice. Why would they pull them? My guess was to act like they were something special with this "Spring Update." But now they get to act like they "listened to the community," found the issue and "fixed" it.

1 Replybump. You f'up doubles, give everyone a 320 ghost. f'up shaders and can't simply unlock them in the kiosk? Unavailable for half a year and simply going to "pass" it along and none one at bungie ever wondered how there are dozens of shaders no one could get...

Still no update as to when it will actually be fixed? It took long enough to find out there was an issue, one would think there would be a pretty quick response to fix the issue, considering people have been trying to get these shaders since TTK came out and it hasn't even been possible to get anything. Outside of IB, Trials etc. there really isn't too much left for some players to do other than wait for the piece of gear they need to drop from the raid whatever event they are playing in. Is there any type of time line as to when we can expect to have the shaders, ships, emblems start to drop ?

1 ReplyThe drop rates are so low for shaders that we didn't even realize that they were locked. We all just thought it was the usual destiny RNG from hell. I know I thought about not getting these shaders, but just figured it was my bad luck. Nope...it's bungie said inadequacies in full effect. UNLOCK the shaders now! Waiting for content we have already been grinding for half a year for is just despicable.

Yeah, now that we have an admission from bungie that they're not in the game and haven't been for several months like they should've been, we wait for how long before they fix it? This should be IMMEDIATE. Not only that, but we've missed out on this content thinking we were all just the most unlucky bastards on the face of the earth. Turns out...just another bungie debacle. They've cheated us again. AGAIN! it took them how long to respond? How could they not know that these items weren't dropping AT ALL? There is a real incompetence at bungie and it's painfully obvious. It's almost like this is the first game they've ever made. Doesn't it feel that way? With almost every decision I have to ask myself if they really want me to play or not. I feel like they'd rather us just stop playing so they can focus on making D2. Either way, we've been grinding for several months hoping for shaders that weren't even able to drop due to bungie's error. How will they make it right? I don't think making them accessible is enough. They should just all be available for us at the kiosk or make the drop rates super high. And I don't trust bungie and drop rates/rng. This is a huge deal. Maybe by itself, not so much, but with all the lies, admitted deceit and lack of transparency, this is just more fuel for the fire. Bungie. Make it right. Get your head out!
