And you wonder why so many people no longer play, Bungie? That weapon is a poster on how you spit in everyones faces after grinding and grinding and grinding.

People no longer play Destiny because it was it was promoted as a MMO like co-op PVE game. PVP wasn't even mentioned as an option. Now that we all learned that there isn't enough content or support for PVE, players have moved on to other games. If you play Destiny primarily for PVP your a fool. There are much better FPS PVP games than Destiny. Why are you playing a game that didn't even advertise it was going to have PVP.

Can the hopscotch still drop?
-
I sort of get why they did it though. I got mine right when how dropped so I got to enjoy it's glory for its entire godly span. It was ridiculously good though. Like, better than everything

Edited by gallp13: 2/7/2016 12:19:17 PMBeen thinking about this 1. Bungo makes OP gun extremely rare - thinking "no ones will find this beauty" 2. Community rallies and works their collective arses off and gets the gun in volume threatening the meta 3. Bungo "oh shiz the Buggers found it betta nerf" The end point of this cycle is a set of barely differentiated caramel favoured same same guns. So ultimately WHATS THE POINT ?

Edited by TreeMan_X: 2/8/2016 4:52:38 PMMakes me sad. That thing was a two shot monster with no recoil! It beat thorn, hawkmoon, whatever was good at the time, it was way better. And then it got nerfed and turned into a POS, even though no one complained. Probably because it was too rare.
-
They just had to turn it into an All Fate pulse rifle
-
It's even better when you reforge for days only to dismantle your weapons after the next DLC.
-
Yep, I do. They did it less than a week after it finally dropped for me. I got maybe 8 or 10 matches with it before it was changed (and then, of course, they obsoleted all the Year 1 guns anyway). It's why I don't farm for anything anymore -- you never know whether Bungie will drop the axe on it.
-
-
Yea that was really messed up
-
They nerfed it because you took advantage of the Rolling system. It's better that the people that do that type of playing, quit
-
Well now no pulse rifles are a 2 burst kill so what's the point.
-
They did the same for Red Death didn't they? I remember it being much slower.
-
forgot about that nerf
-
It still hurts. Hurts bad. That was my weapon. It kept the Thorns away. It kept everything away. Then I got the Nirwins. Then they trashed it as well. I try to not use any popular weapons any more. Just not worth it.
-
Never understood the Nerf. Guns like 3 little words and Super pox were just as good if not better but Hopscotch got shafted. That to me was the most confusing time. That's when I saw that Bungie will cater to the whiny masses that have no idea what they are talking about.
-
I had the perfect weapon in my opinion. Red dot oas, range finder, feeding frenzy, and one of the stability perks that coupled with OAS, maxed the stability

-
BUMP. I'm still pissed.
-
Yep tried mine out again the other day and it really is a shame what they did to it, the only good thing was mine dropped while doing strikes for glimmer after about 11-12
-
Same with red death
-
This weapon, and the ridiculous controversy surrounding it, are the reason i left Destiny, and subsequently, the reason i shit on it every chance i get. Make a man work for 2 fuc/king weeks to get this shit and then neuter it. I vowed that day that NO bungie urine would ever touch my lips again. Instead, they would have a good clean supply of ol X-Bamns piss for a few months at least. Theyve been good customers.
-
BUT they kept the pvp Aquireable spare change.

Edited by eikonoklastes: 2/7/2016 9:37:29 AMNot only did that thing fire like a laser, it 2-burst people from across the map. It was the most obvious candidate for a nerf. It still sucks that you decided to grind for hours for something that wasn't worth it, but everyone knows by now how the meta swings dramatically in Destiny.
-
I stepped away from the game pre-TTK (once I realized all my gear was being left behind- that was the last goddam straw), so I haven't been keeping up with the balances. Any links to the specific nerf y'all are talking about? I jumped in for a few games the other day, just to see what had changed, and I noticed that my Messenger felt unnaturally wimpy... Is that just me, or was there actually another overall high-impact PR nerf?
-
Just goes to show you it's a waste of time to grind for anything in this game. I never got one but enjoyed the messenger quite a bit.
