PvE is Dead
Well, I think it is clear. Bungie has completely abandoned PvE. This weekly update was all about the PvP with nothing mentioned for PvE. PvE is dead and there is nothing that Bungie is going to add to Destiny for PvE players.
If you haven't already moved on from Destiny, it is time if you are a PvE player.

They kind of mentioned that they are working on something, but it was pretty short and was maybe two sentences. The entire update I agree was mostly PVP and Movie of the week, which is fun but there has to be more. Either way I am taking a break, going to try other games out, might try the Crimson doubles just for fun and I will be back when they add something to do, for now I don't feel upset. I will just enjoy my other games.

I never thought I would be the last one playing, but the lack of pve being addressed and not to mention content left behind has pushed away 7 members of my family and many friends as well, they have moved on, but I remained, hopeful that pve would be addressed more, but one update after another nothing but pvp, I will continue for a bit longer to be hopeful that bungie will pull there head out of there ass and address more pve issues , pve being left behind is just sad man....Oh thanks for addressing issues for those that raid, they needed that, so plus one for bungie.... -
Forgive the intrusion, not trying to spam this, though that may be a byproduct of my attempts to keep this rolling. This seems to have touched a chord with many and I believe we should keep this trending. The goal is to get Mr. Parsons to see this if possible and it relates to pretty much all the complaints we have with the game. 1 ReplyWhoa there good sir! I'll have you know that they mentioned the Raid in their update which clearly demonstrates an increased focus on PvE. But in all seriousness, I agree and it's disappointing. The game was marketed as a mainly PvE game with a little PvP on the side to keep it interesting. Now, all we've gotten lately are PvP focused events (ToO, IB, Crimson Doubles, SRL) with nothing to add even a little entertainment to PvE. I'm starting to wonder if the "big ticket" content they've teased a few times is just going to be new PvP maps and game modes. If so, I wouldn't be surprised to see even the more devoted fans give up on the series in general and never come back.

Agreed, it sucks all thats ever said is pvp this or that, thanks for the content that yes i would have paid real money for. Most of my friends that i played with hav since departed this solar system which sucks i enjoyed playing with friends an dont really get to now that that the content dried up. And the picture of the blaming dog at the end of the update before this one im still frickin annoyed with that. To me it was a slap in the face thanks deej.

11 RepliesMy frustration comes from the lack of necessity and benefit to become 320 and the lack of content. The difference in damage in ANY arena os negligible. Im talking maybe 1-2% damage increase per shot maximum in pve. And there is no goal at that point. You hit max light and think "now what?" Truly the answer is, well, nothing.. End game WoW rewarded max geared PvE players with the sense of accomplishment and a ton of professions, dailies, etc.. to work on that ALWAYS raked in more gold. A huge benefit to doing them If you tired of that, then you could easily go and work to gear for PvP because they have TWO different gear sets for pvp and pve that actually MATTER to equip each set for their respective intention. If you brought pvp gear to raid, you were screwed, first mechanics would one shot you. If you brought pve gear to pvp, you were a bag of health that did no damage to anyone. But Destiny lacks anything beyond "grind for x" at end game. No crafting, no trading, glimmer caps and limitations, no new content for PvE since "challenge" mode.. They've dug their own hole.

There was no reason to play the hard raid, so I quit in October. The loot sucked ass, and any future content will have higher gear sold at vendors. Essentially, Bungie wanted us to grind for garbage to get more garbage so you could grind for more garbage, despite there being things sold later that'll be better then said garbage.

No Bungie is dead to us since they cater to all the little scrub lord that love to literally &@@$ us over with their little whiny asses using snipers. They cry about every little fing thing and at the end of the fing day Sunbreakers suck, sunsingers rely to much in fire bolts, snipers rule the fing crucible, and every other primary that isn't mida or last word can't compete. So thanks for fixing you game with your so called reliable ass data Bungie. [spoiler]Written after over ten games of nothing but the same fing weapons over and over again.[/spoiler]

2 RepliesIf Destiny 2 doesn't have more raids and strikes with release its a fail imho1 raid and 5 strikes is a joke of pve content we need 2-3 raids 10-15 strikes with Destiny 2 release

Obviously it's dead and I don't know why. . They could easily make POE and old raids relevant and update strikes or have a special strikes event week like the iron banner of pve. There was so much more to do during the house of wolves era

1 ReplyYup. Almost 4/5 months since I even wanted to play. Ever since the AR tuning it has really been down hill. I won't sell the game yet, just in case they actually pull a rabbit out of their but tux. Good to see the forums are still burning and Bungie is on the sidelines. (Leaning on a fire hydrant with wrench in hand) Peace.
