Warning division season pass
Do not buy the division and if so make sure you buy there shitty season pass. Ubisoft has put a paywall on monthly in game event and benefits for people who have bought the division season pass. Which is unacceptable. Really was hoping for the division to be a great game but ubisoft always -blam!-s it up some way.
Edit: people who are fine with this are the same who are fine with the content drought bungie has brought on to us and if let them shove this bullshit down your thoarts then you guys have to blame for this. Caise you taught companys that abuse is okay

People who pay more get more. The price for the game is for what has already been made. Content post release needs to be paid for somehow. They have confirmed that free updates with different items (probably similar to the witcher 3)

This is actually fine IMO, it makes the season pass actually mean something. Not only do you get a little bit of a deal on DLC that's going to be released anyway, you get some bonus stuff. It's like being a paying member for ESO or The Old Republic. I've got zero problem with rewarding people who are willing to pay more for it. And I don't understand how people can get upset if I'm paying for it. Just because it exists doesn't make you entitled to it, the world isn't fair, so either pay for the extra stuff or don't, but I don't see that you have any real claim to bitch about it.

2 RepliesNot sure if this has been commented already, but Battlefield 4 did nearly the exact same thing and it was fine. It includes weapons and gadgets that, for the most part, were balanced. The monthly "events" were double exp events. Nothing too offensive. I expect something similar for The Division. It isn't the DLC apocalypse like some have made it out to be...

People who expect a virtually unlimited amount of content to be ready for them when they want it are spoiled. Before destiny, this complaint was non-existent because when people got bored with the limited amount of content provided, they played new games or did other things. This problem will almost always exist in some capacity especially with this style of game so when I get bored with the division, I'll just play a new game until more content is released because at the end of the day, no one is forcing me to play it. Don't get me wrong, I don't believe the segregation of the player base is an appropriate business tactic as it puts the consumer In a hard spot to buy content, but if it is truly unfair the business is assuming a majority of the risk with only a generally low rate of success. if content is truly lackluster even once then the game will not and can not survive with consumer base that is discouraged to trust future transactions and now stagnant resources. Also, If the players become too comfortable with the content provided previously, the player base would be separated further and the business's revenue would become stagnant. What I am trying to say is this is a business. A business always has two motives keeping the consumer interested and making money. You are a person with free reign over your life that is the deciding factor if the transaction is fair, but a business has a limited amount of resources which makes it impossible to fulfill the wants of the consumer base.

I love destiny, nothing so far I have played comes close to its gunplay and mechanics, so I will always come back, but for my sanity I need something else to play. I feel the lack of dlc, horrible time gated exotics and recent lack of transparency around matchmaking are all reasons why some healthy competition for destiny will be better for us all and drive more content. As such I ordered The Division, but fully expect to also keep playing Destiny as at its heart, nothing beats its gunplay mechanics.

Ikr, it's a disgrace it's just like the Bungievision fanboys content with no content and then paying £120 for a game worth £65 (Retail) [spoiler]. In reality it's worthless just like the Bungievision web team and the majority of the games core fanbase.[/spoiler] A lot of company's are overcharging for content not only Division and Destiny but Battlefront too, thing is people keep buying them! *Throws money at the screen*

People who buy the season pass are the ones who are in it for the long hall and I am ok with them rewarding people for spending their hard earned money. This is their way of saying thank you. I actually look at this as a positive.

To the people defending this, it's obvious this content will eventually become pay to win, and then nobody will be playing the game when that happens. This is wrong, especially in an open world multiplayer game, think, people who paid more will declare themselves ''superior'' and those who didn't get it will feel left out, and eventually leave. That's why a lot of people are furious, just wait and see.

21 RepliesI'm not buying the game. I did the closed beta and felt like I was playing a walking simulator. There was nothing around, except for rats and like 3 dogs. I was soooooooooo bored. When I finally had loot a group of 4 people came over and murdered me and stole my stuff at the extraction. I had just realized any fun I had was stripped away. I tried again had loot, once again people camping extraction and they murdered me once again. I finally realize after 3 hours all I managed to do was walk around and accomplish absolutely nothing.
